Perfect family getaway just two hours out of the Twin Cities! Sandy beach, 22 foot Weeres pontoon, water trampoline, clean lake, volleyball court and more, you'll never be bored at The Lake House!
Welcome to The Lake House on Lake Burgen! Our 6 bedroom cabin is located on beautiful Lake Burgen with a sandy bottom for swimming, fishing and fun! Relax on one of the large decks, take the pontoon out on the lake or sit on the dock and enjoy the sun. The Lake House sits on beautiful Lake Burgen, which is a 182 acre lake that is stream fed. Located just 4 miles from downtown Alexandria, Minnesota. We have a 22 foot Weeres pontoon available for rent as well, inquire about specific rates. We also require the pontoon to be filled with gas prior to departure, please ask for more details when booking. One canoe, two kayaks, paddle boat and a 20 foot water trampoline are included with the rental. There is also a sand volleyball court in the backyard, fire pit and hammocks for you to enjoy.
The house is an open floor plan on the main level connecting the kitchen, dining room, living room and living room so your entire group can be together. The kitchen is fully-equipped for all your cooking needs with a double oven, 5 burner electric cook top, coffee station and all the basics you may need. There is also a half bathroom on the main level and a bedroom. On the back deck you will find a Weber gas grill for your use.
Downstairs there is a second living room for guests to enjoy with games and a smart TV. There is also a 3/4 bathroom, small air hockey table, foosball table and Big Buck Hunter arcade game. You will also find two additional ovens and a second fridge/freezer.
Upstairs features the master bedroom with a king size bed and three additional bedrooms with queen size beds. There is a full laundry upstairs as well as a full bathroom. Lastly upstairs you will find the Madeline Room, which is a hit with kids! It can sleep 6 comfortably in beds.
License #1866 - Overnight capacity is 12 people ages 6 and up with children 5 and under not included in the total, but all occupants are counted for rent purposes. Additional overnight guests past 12 people will be an additional small fee. Not more than 12 additional daytime guests for a total of 24 TOTAL guests on the property (aged 6 and over) are permitted by Douglas County VRBO requirements. Owner may have additional requirements. Parking is limited to 12 cars with on street parking during the daytime but only on our side of the road -- NO OVERNIGHT PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE STREET - NO EXCEPTIONS.

We spent a long weekend at the lake house with several couples and their young kids. It was a very nice place to stay with good amenities, lots of space, fun things to do, and a beautiful lot on the lake. We weren’t able to use the pontoon since they took it out for the season. We did have some difficulty with sleeping arrangements since our kids are young (ages 1-4). Most of the rooms don’t have enough room for children to sleep in them with their parents. Two bedrooms do, but for the other couples and their kids it was quite tight. Otherwise a very nice stay!

Great place for 12 college buddies on a golf weekend. Plenty of space both indoor/outdoor for all to gather for dinner and sit around/visit - thanks Michelle!
