Lower Harbour watch

We wanted to find a place within walking distance of the port, travelling to and from Dublin for a holiday via ferry. This place did not disappoint. Located in Holyhead centre, just 5-10 mins walk from the port and train station, this place is situated in a beautiful aged building, well furnished, well sized and provided all the amenities required for a lovely nights rest. It is also located within very short distance of a good size co-op store. I would not hesitate to stop here again, should I need a layover.

Parking was not clear where to park

We came in on the ferry and it was an easy walk to get to the location of lower Harbor watch. It was also right next to Saint Cybi‘s Church, which is a grade one building and very interesting to look at. It’s from the 11th century and has really interesting carvings. There’s a great takeout place just around the corner and we enjoyed eating on the little chairs in the kitchen.

It was all good.

Close to Ferry & town for food, comfortable bed & sofa bed, kitchen fine

No heating so smelt damp on entering & too cold
