Podere Il Gufo

This was a perfect family week away from city rush, but near enough to major Toscan target cities like San Gimiggiano, Volterra and Firenze or even Pisa. Neat, clean and renovated house with spacious rooms, huge, living garden with a wounderful panorama (just like in the movies :) ), and a bigger than expected pool with nice terrace & furnitures. Warm welcome at arrival, helpful and "at your service" if we needed help. The nearest "neighbour" is at least a few hundred meters away. Nearest restaurant (Osteria del Tempo, 1.5 km) offers great view and serves remarkable dinner. In Montespertoli you find a local market (cheese, veggies, sausages or what you are looking for), a Coop for daily beverages, and further places to eat in or around the city. You are in the hilly Toscan region - those crazy enough to bike or trail run will find their pleasure. If you are more a beginner but adventourous, or you have kids with too much energy (or dogs :) ), consider a "hike" like leaving your car behind on the road between Iano and San Vivaldo, and walk to the abadonded Castello di Vignale (1.5 - 2 km walking (+back) on an abadonded unpawed road trough nature). One last hint: the shorter way to the south (via Tresanti towards Volterra, etc.) is unpawned after a few hundred meters. Perfect for trail running, but with car you might want to take the longer route trough Montespertoli.

Amazing in every way. Ideal location to explore central Tuscany, easy access to premises, privacy and security, house, lovely owners, nice furnishings and indoors facilities, pool, relaxing outdoor space. Wholeheartedly recommended!
