Neighbourgood 1st Crescent

Great vibe and we loved the pool. This is a great spot in camps bay with beautiful views from the street and close proximity to the beach and the shopping centre. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. Our room was a bit small but we did book last minute.

Location was perfect and so easy to get to camps bay.

Perfect location..quiet and only a few minutes walk to the beachfront area.

Good walkable location in Camp’s Bay on a quiet street with road parking. Area felt safe and building was secure. Nice pool, great breakfast and modern rooms.

Our first room was very small, bathroom door didn’t shut properly and had a very strange courtyard that the door also had to be slammed shut to close. We were then able to move to a larger room for our second night which was much better, however bathroom door still did not close, bathroom in both rooms flooded after showering due to being a wet room. No clear timings given for breakfast. Whole living area/outside garden was being used for a photo shoot on one day which meant the space wasn’t really usable.

It’s like a hostel not a relaxing hotel. I was there stuck with a group of 16 loud partying people

The bed was comfortable. The only plus…

Very bad designed guest house! The rooms -dirty floors, badly decoration and not with a thought what a guest would need. Bad and cheap materials. The main door had a gap around which we didn’t need to put a light at night inside the room. The bathroom- tiny and no space to put even a toothbrush, 1 towel rail for 1 towel, shelf in shower glued with an decline to the ground.. The noise- staff banging doors at 5am, and chatting loudly, low class guests chatting to each other loudly as the whole place belonged to them > if there was a manager who could warn them not to disturb the other guests would be good. Banging the doors continued to late hours when the guest with there bathrooms on the other side of the corridor went to bathrooms at night. The food was very average, cheap coffee machine. Shut down and we had to wait 30 min for a cup of coffee. I guess this is enough info…. I have no more time to give this property.

The swimming pool

Keys for the room didn’t work. Management didn’t answer their phones. Kitchen staff not very friendly.

Fabulous location. 5 minute walk into Camps Bay but on a lovely quiet residential street. Access to a washing machine. Fab room with great air conditioning. Spotlessly clean. Room serviced every day with fresh towels and the bed made to perfection. Access to a communal kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle. Lovely swimming pool with very comfortable loungers. Fast free Wi-Fi. Breakfast. Amazing. Phumla and her team on hand each breakfast to assist. Warm home made blueberry and bran muffins, fresh juice, fresh fruits and cereal, yogurt, hams and cheese, eggs, sausage and bacon. Travelled throughout SA, Namibia and Zimbabwe and this is the very best breakfast. The whole place just has a lovely homely friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend
