Central House old port skiathos

Superb Location, one street behind the Old Port. Taxi from the airport took 6 minutes, 10 euros cost. The house was comfy and clean.

The house's layout wasn't ideal for us (my wife, myself, and two Teens). One bedroom on the first floor is behind a sliding door off the lounge, so difficult to use the lounge when the bedroom is being used. 2nd bedroom on the 1st floor also. Kitchen on 1st floor, so again using the kitchen when people are asleep (early mornings) is difficult. One bathroom is on the ground floor, which means at night these two 1st floor bedrooms are served by a bathroom down some very pretty, steep stairs that are totally open to the 1st floor landing with no 'guard' or door (I'd be terrified if the kids were younger) OR - they must climb up the very tight metal spiral staircase to the 2nd floor bathroom. The downstairs bathroom does have a shower cubicle, but there is no way to hang the shower head on the wall, so we couldn't really use that shower, meaning all 4 of us had to wait and use the 2nd floor bathroom. The metal stairs from floor 1 to 2 are extremely tight to get up and down, I'd certainly not recommend young kids, anyone elderly, or anyone of a larger build attempting these. Only 1 house key which doubles up as the electric and aircon activator - i assume so people dont leave the aircon on all day when they are out (which i understand). However, this means that when you return home the house is hot and it takes a while to cool, it also meant that if one person wanted to nip out, they'd have to rind the doorbell to get someone to come and let them back in.

Perfect location and spotlessly clean! We stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding. It was the perfect place to wake up as husband and wife. We enjoyed waking up to a sea view with a coffee shop located directly under it. The bathrooms are gorgeously decorated and very modern. Check in was very simple and easy. My heavily pregnant maid of honour stayed in the middle bedroom the first night we arrived and said the bedroom was perfect and the bed was very comfy. Thank you for an excellent stay!!

The house is in a fabulous location and finished to a high standard, towels and linens were luxurious and plentiful. It has everything you would normally have at home. Large roof terrace with a view of the ocean over the old port. Clear instructions for check in and pointers while staying at the property. Host was very responsive to any questions, would stay here again next time we are in Skiathos
