White Roses Cottage

Stayed here for 5 days 4 nights (30th March until 3rd April) and honestly, I had such a great experience. They allowed me to check in early around 1PM and even gave me a late check-out around 1PM as well. Really appreciate their flexibility and kindness. The check-in process was smooth, no receptionist but staff will assist and guide you to your room. The location is in Kampung Bayangan, Keningau — about 10–12 minutes drive to Keningau town (with light traffic), so still very convenient. Parking is very easy and safe as the place is gated. Each room is provided with an auto gate remote, so no worries even if you come back late at night. The room was clean and very comfortable. The aircond was SUPER cold (perfect with the current hot weather 😂). Bathroom was clean, smelled nice, and the water pressure was really strong — best part after a long day. Only minor issue was the bathroom mirror light flickering. They provide complete basic amenities — drinking water, 3-in-1 coffee, kettle, cups, towels, hanger, sejadah, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, etc. — really love this! WiFi was also strong and fast, which helped a lot since mobile line (Digi) was quite weak. I even managed to WFH there with no issues. What I really loved was how peaceful and quiet the environment was, even when the place was fully occupied. This is something I really appreciate because it’s hard to find a place that is this calm and not noisy. There’s also a nice outdoor sitting area with good lighting at night — perfect for chilling. No breakfast provided as it’s more of a homestay concept, but Foodpanda delivery is available so it wasn’t an issue for me at all. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Easy to communicate with them, and they were responsive whenever I needed assistance. Only small suggestion would be to consider adding better window tint or privacy for the rooms.

Only a minor issue with the bathroom mirror light flickering, but overall it was still a very comfortable stay.

Cheap, close to supermarket, cafes etc (car required)

The fancy-looking building in the photo is where you stay, though it’s right next to a party and wedding venue. The bathrooms are run down with mold, which is a shame given the obvious effort put into the place. Walls are paper thin, so you can hear every word and laugh from the neighbours.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The room was beautiful, clean and nice smell. They also provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, body and hair shampoo, clean and good smell towels. Iron, ironing board, hair dryer, mini fridge, kettle, drinking water, the place is so cozy, beautiful very nice. The room rate is quite cheap and affordable. Tv and internet are provided. We watch paranormal on YouTube during our stay there.

Actually it's not a big issue but it would be nice if there are shops nearby as we don't use our own car.

Nice room, all needed facilities available, king size bed, all facilities in working condition. Car can be parked just in front of rooms. Gate remote control provided.

Floor was taped to hold the flooring together, one light was flickering in the bathroom, no reception area just straight rooms, chanced upon a wedding reception, so a bit noisy. Check in at 2pm
