The lighting in the bathroom and room was terrible if your trying to put on make up The ground floor was very loud and can hear toilet and shower flushing above us. The shower would either be really cold or really hot

The sliding glass door doesn’t seem to fully seal when it’s closed, letting in a cold draft and loud music from the bars across the street. The music seems to play everyday of the week until about 2-3am.

Great location, near restaurants all within walking distances. Large room, all rooms ending with 1 are the best ones, like 101, 201… 501 as they are the largest. Rooms are very clean, are made up every day

The Nespresso machine only works the first morning, then just kept on blinking, even after being replaced with another from another room. Gave up to ask for change after that. Need to remind the maid to provide large hand towels and bath mat, not consistent every day

An absolute GEM in the heart of CDMX!

We stayed at Casa Cibeles by Lumina and honestly… it ended up being the BEST decision of our whole trip! The location cannot be beat — you're right in the middle of Roma Norte with endless restaurants, bars, mercados, and incredible street food (tacos, fruit stands, elotes… everything!) all just steps away. Perfect for walking, exploring, and really experiencing the neighborhood vibe. Our room was tucked away on the first floor, so we didn’t have any noise issues, and we loved relaxing on the patio. The room itself was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and had all the amenities we needed for a super comfortable stay. A huge shoutout to the staff — they were unbelievably kind, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. You can tell they genuinely care about the guests and the property. It made a big difference! We’d 100% stay here again and highly recommend Casa Cibeles to anyone wanting the perfect Roma Norte experience!

Only minor downsides: the bed was a little firm (but after a day of walking around the city, we still slept like babies), and the airport shuttle they recommended was pricey compared to local taxis. They offered about $70 round trip for the shuttle, but we ended up getting a safe, punctual taxi for about $30 round trip instead.

No sleep, tremendous street noise at night from a very loud bar directly across the street.

The hotel is directly across the street from a very loud bar. They hide that until after they charge your non-refundable fee. Right after we hit the non-refundable charge, they sent us an email that there may be street noise unaffiliated to the hotel. They should be honest upfront. Other guests said the same thing that they were not able to sleep at all and they can't get their money back. I even told the front desk person we didn't sleep for the two nights we were there and we're moving to a different hotel. He didn't have any reaction to that. They don't care. Thank god we hadn't prepaid them for our entire stay in Mexico City.

Clean, modern and spacious hotel in the perfect location!

Very spacious room and extremely clean and modern. Lots of space to hang clothes in the room and the kitchen/ dining area was very well equipped. Also loved the filtered water tap which was a great bonus. Lovely staff, no request was ever too much and the daily housekeeping was a great bonus considering most apart-hotels in Mexico city do not offer this service. We had a balcony too and did not get much noise disturbance at all from the surrounding area, but our room was facing away from the main road which may have worked in our favour. Location was otherwise perfect with so many great restaurants in the area. Very nice rooftop too but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Would definitely stay here again!

Water pressure in the shower could be better and there could be more than 1 hook in the bathroom to hang towels/ clothes. Lighting for makeup could also be better.

The doorman and concierge were very professional, helpful, friendly. They spoke English which was very convenient. We received assistance with booking taxis for sightseeing and to the airport. The building and apartment were clean and up to date. We greatly appreciated the availability of laundry facilities. We were pleased with the cleaning of our room, especially help with washing the dishes. The TV had several streaming options. We loved that we could fully open the front of the living room out to the balcony.

There were four of us and only three bath towels. (We didn't bother to request another and we assume that another would have been immediately provided.) There weren't enough towel rods/hooks to hang wet towels. The lighting in the bathroom was poor when using the mirror. We wished that the bedrooms had bedside lamps. There was very loud music and singing outside both nights but there were complimentary earplugs provided.

Clean with modern amenities and very traveler friendly. Neighborhood is close proximity to many tourist attractions and other lovely neighborhoods and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and professional. Beautiful rooftop lovely balconies, will definitely return to this location.

My travel companion said the beds were a little firm while I agree. I personally liked them. In the evenings, there is quite a lot of noise that comes from a very active restaurant club down the street. It does travel down, but the staff was very kind to provide earplugs.

Everything I expected

The size of the room for two adults was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. The location is close to everything - the area is very safe ( security ) everywhere.

My only peeve and this is because I personally run on hot- is the AC temperature. The water pressure in the shower was weak but it did the job.

This hotel was so bad all around and I would not recommend for people to stay here - avoid at all costs.

This hotel was in a very central location and was easy for us to get to places. Staff was nice.

As someone who travels frequently, this hotel has to be one of the worst we’ve stayed at. First, there’s a club or bar nearby so it was pretty loud and can be heard through the windows. Second, we stayed in room 201 and the doorframe to the bathroom is warped so we were not able to close our bathroom door. Third, the bed linens were scratchy and not very comfortable. Lastly and the biggest problem is that we kept finding silverfish bugs in the room and on one of our bags that we set down on the floor, which is very concerning because we could potentially be bringing it back to our homes. For a 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable.

Gorgeous apartments in an amazing location!

Spacious and gorgeous terrace. Everything you would need for a stay. Absolutely loved that we could use the washer and dryer for free, an unexpected huge bonus!

Small issue but there was nowhere to hang towels to dry when used. Could have done with some extra hooks in the bathroom for this and maybe some in the doorway to hang jackets. There was noise at night but didn’t affect me.

The place is wonderful, located in the city centre with security staff in front of the door who will help you with getting the door, luggage, or anything else. I was so thankful for how helpful they were throughout the whole stay at the hotel.

No complaints on the property itself, but it can be a bit noisy if you stay on the front part of the apartment. Again, it’s in a prime location so that’s part of the deal. The occasional noise isn’t that bad or a dealbreaker to stay at this property.

A chic, clean, and comfortable hotel.

Was in Mexico City for 5 days and stayed at Casa Cibeles by Lumina. Room was extremely spacious and had a kitchenette, microwave, and utensils. Although we didn't cook during our stay, this was a pleasant surprise and extremely nice to have. Rooms were modern and aesthetically designed. Location was superb and we were able to walk to many of the restaurants we wanted to check out within 10-20ish minutes. They also offer free laundry for people whom might want to use that. Overall, had a wonderful stay at Casa Cibeles and cannot recommend it enough :D

The rooftop was nice but not too usable of a facility? Would be even better if they had a pool/gym. But this is something extremely minor. All in all, Casa Cibeles was great.

Amazing!

The apartment looks exactly like the photos. It is big, clean and comfortable. Our room did not face the street and therefore we didn’t experience any issues with street/bars noise (a concern we had based on other reviews). Great neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants and a supermarket close by.

Outside the main part of the neighborhood, 15-20 min walk to central part of it. The hotel has said on here the night club closed, that's not true, it's still open with loud music Thursday to Sunday. Bring headphones, they provide ear plugs, but those did not help me

Perfectly modern boutique hotel stay in the heart of Roma Norte

We booked Casa Cibeles for our wedding guests, so there were over 30 people in our group spread across multiple apartments and studio rooms in this hotel. Not only did they ensure our guests' rooms would be situated near each other, we were given extra special attention during our stay. Prior to arriving, I had asked about getting a full-length mirror in our room (as the bride), and when we arrived the hotel had added full length mirrors to every room. They cared so much about ensuring we had a great time! I have been to Mexico City several times, and stayed in various Airbnbs and hotels, and I cannot express enough how perfect Casa Cibeles. From their attentive front desk and cleaning staff, to the gorgeous rooftop patio, to the modern, impeccably clean rooms and shared spaces, and the beautiful sunny balconies overlooking the city, we absolutely loved everything about our stay. The central Roma Norte location is also fantastic, making it such an easy jumping off point for CDMX exploring. We will absolutely be returning!

The only drawback we experienced during our stay was a noisy club next door that played loud music past midnight on a Saturday night. The hotel was aware of it and did what they could to address the matter. Otherwise, everything about Casa Cibeles was perfect.
