The room was very clean and confortable, it had hot water and was not very cold in the evening. The host was helpful with information, keeping our luggage and preparing us a breakfast box to go as we had to leave early in the morning to Machu Picchu. Strongly recommend.

Hotel is tucked away from the main street in the shadows. The room heater normally turns on at 630pm and beds have blankets; showers were hot, hair dryers can be loaned.
Hot water is in a flask when the breakfast area is open. There's no dispenser otherwise. Breakfast starts early with freshly cooked eggs with your fruit and ham-egg-cheese-bread.
Reception is friendly and very helpful- they fixed the electric sockets which for some reason turned off for several hours, eventually fixed the heater, and offered to fill our thermos with hot boiled water.
Just to note that (this is for prob all hotels) ear plugs may help because other pp wake at 5am or earlier, may shower, cough or talk in the stairwell as they plod down the stairs (if you’re not planning to take the 5am bus to Machu Picchu for the 6am entry).

They are family owned, only a few rooms and the staff is very keen in offering any help. It is in the end of the alley of Ave Pachacutec which is located amongst the street of late nite eats and beer places but still moderately quiet for sleep.
The laundry service was exceptional ! It came back quick and nicely folded smelling good in a clean transparent bag and definitely fit nicely in my suitcase during your trip. Recommend.
