I booked apartment L (large) which was located on the corner of the building. Very spacious, will all the amentities a traveller and a professional needs.

Modern, close to transport, within walking distance of major attractions like Museum Island and Alexanderplatz. Big bathroom. Good size.
The elevator stopped working on one evening.

This was my third time staying at Amano Home because it is a comfortable, clean and stylish place with a great location.
Amano Home no longer has staff working the reception, it's self check-in. That means you can no longer store your luggage there if you're too early before check-in time, or when you check out. This means you need to bring your luggage to another nearby hotel from the same group. Very inconvenient.
Also, if you haven't checked in yet, the door is opened by ringing the bell by staff in another hotel. However, they did not open the door. I ringed multiple times, but door wasn't opened. Finally, another guest exiting opened the door for me. Again, very inconvenient.
In the room, the dishwasher was missing it's front. Not what I expected from this property and it was disappointing to have something broken in the room (see attached photo).
Lastly, I sent several messages on different occasions through Booking.com messaging which were left unanswered. I had to follow up by calling the property twice. Again, very inconvenient.
