Railway Apartments Rugby

Very convenient for train travellers. Generally clean and tidy.

We had trouble finding it. The postcode took us to a house further down the street. There is no Number One. The apartments are in the terrace house on the corner opposite the barber shop. Luckily the host answered my second phone call and gave directions.

Good location for what we needed. Once inside, seemed clean and tidy.

The website showed as wheelchair accessible and in ground floor. This is NOT the case for any of the units. We booked a 2 bedroom which was in the first floor with a very step set of stairs. There is also a huge step into the bathroom. My father is 75 and had two strokes, he literally had to climb on his hands and feet to gain access. Very dangerous!! Thankfully my 84 Aunty had to cancel otherwise we would have been sleeping in the car. I messaged a few days earlier to confirm as our local relatives did not think it was ground floor. No response from hosts. Continued with booking as it was quite clearly stated wheel chair accessible and on ground floor. There was damage to the front door lock and first bedroom handle. Entry door was never locked properly each time we came and went. Did not feel safe. Arriving to the accommodation i finally got in touch with host. While apologetic they did not take ownership but blamed booking.com There was no other available rooms so we could not be moved. I have suggested the wheel chair symbol be removed entirely, there is huge step into each ground floor entry. Even if on ground floor this is not wheel chair friendly. Between the stairs and damage to doors we did not feel safe or comfortable. I did not sleep at all due to stress of waiting for my dad to fall, security and the bright light coming in through bedroom window. Apartment nice enough, terrible personal experience overall. Would not recommend.

Received relatively quick help when checking in as had issues finding the right apartment. In a good location, Tesco express 2 minute walk away & also good food options short drive away. Inside is very cosy & welcoming.

No on street parking available, had to park 3 minute walk away which is fine but paid £14 for one night which is a bit steep. No basic seasoning for cooking (salt & pepper) which had to buy & left for next guests. Had to buy pack of toilet roll too as there was only 1 which had already pretty much been used by previous guests. The hob & also tv in the lounge both didn’t seem to work. The duvet was very old & in tatters.

Es war OK, die Sauberkeit könnte viel besser sein.
