Hostel Arena

We stayed at Hostel Arena for one night and, overall, it was a good choice for a short stay. The location is excellent, especially if you're attending an event at the Arena – it's only about a 5-minute walk away. The hostel also offers convenient parking, and the reception is open 24/7. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, making check-in quick and easy. Breakfast was good and offered a decent selection. Overall, it's a good option for a short stay because of the great location, parking, and friendly reception staff, but I wouldn't recommend it during the hottest months of the year if you're looking for a comfortable night's sleep.

The restaurant staff were not particularly welcoming. They seemed unfriendly and rather inefficient, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. On the downside, the room had an unpleasant smell when we arrived, and the bathroom was quite small. The air conditioning is a portable unit with a hose running through an opening in the window, so a lot of warm air still comes into the room. During hot summer days, the room becomes very warm, and the air conditioning struggles to keep it cool.

It was nice, my room was basic, clean and had everything it said it would. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. One man at the front desk even helped me with Croatian language questions. Breakfast was good. I went a bit late and there were still fresh options. Sometimes if you don't get to a place early it is gone. I appreciated my meal was available for the entire breakfast time.

The booking price was double the hotel price for breakfast. That speaks bad to booking.com, not the hotel.
