Location was perfect, all we needed was within 200 metres

For the style of the building, the lounge was very ordinary. Kitchen chairs were not very comfortable. There was not enough crockery. Lighting in bedroom was very dim, difficult to read in bed.

The layout and size is good for a couple. It is close to many major sites. It was clean and comfortable- BUT the sewer drains need to be cleaned before the next renter!! The whole apartment stinks like sewage. We only spent sleeping hours there (with bathroom door closed and towels laid over all drains) because the smell was overwhelming and as everyone knows, sulphuric and methane gases can be dangerous to breathe. We notified the owner and simply got a “sorry..” This is unacceptable. We tried to find a hotel close, but all were booked. The next renter needs to demand to see a certificate that the drains have been cleaned before renting.

Please don’t tell me that, oh this is an old property and all have this issue. I’ve stayed in apartments,some older, all over Paris and never encountered sulphuric and methane gases like this!

Amazing location. Nice quiet street, close to all the bars and restaurants on the island which is, in its self, in a very central part of Paris.

It wasn’t the cleanest when you started to take a closer look. There was dirt and dust along the skirting boards and the cutlery draw was dirty. Not acceptable especially when considering the price. It is an old building and this is not a criticism but we found the ceilings very low and therefore the property quite dark. The internet is not great either.
