Iris Apartments

This apartment was absolutely wonderful. It exceeded my expectations. Deep in the valley where the air is fresh and the silence unreal. So beautifully decorated, modern and clean. It is evident that Veronika is not a host simply out to make a profit - the tiny details in the apartment show that she really cares - she wants to make sure you are comfortable and have the best time in Obertraun. Every time you need something, you turn around and there it is - a pair of scissors, a light above the outside table, a bowl, a place to hang your coat, an umbrella when it’s hot! Every detail has been so thoughtfully placed. I enjoyed the terrace - sitting quietly with coffee watching the neighbour’s horses and admiring the mountains. I appreciated the bicycles - no additional rental cost and free for guests to use! Cycling along the valley paths in the evening is a treat. The walk from the apartment to the train station is a bit of a distance, but manageable even with luggage as the road is smooth and tarred. The fact that the apartment is not in the village centre and is more remote is part of what made it so unique and special, hence the location is not a negative, just something worth noting for those who may have mobility issues and who do not have a car. In the evening the property is lit with solar lamps, so returning on foot after dark is not an issue even if you don’t have a torch. Very easy access to beautiful mountain trails!

Nothing! The provision of a face cloth / wash cloth in addition to towels would have been welcome, but I did notice that our other hotels in Austria also did not provide same.

Großartiges Apartment, überkomplett ausgestattet, komfortabel und neuwertig, schöner Außenbereich mit Blick auf die Berge. Klare Anweisungen für ein- und aus-checken, Gastgeber hilfsbereit und leicht zu erreichen!

Das Apartment hat eine sehr schöne und ruhige Lage! Der Nachteil davon ist, dass es etwas außerhalb des Ortszentrums und des Sees ist!

Beautiful, spacious, modern, tastefully decorated and very comfortable apartment (we stayed in the Rose apartment). The owner sent very clear instructions for check in, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. We loved the location, slightly outside the centre of Obertraun, as it was quiet and peaceful. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, especially when the clouds were low (see photos). Really enjoyed the morning tea/coffee on the balcony looking at the gorgeous views. You can see the Dachstein Krippenstein cable cars and 5 fingers viewing platform from the balcony too. There is parking available at this property but we arrived by train and didn't need a car as this apartment was perfectly situated within walking distance to the local attractions/points of interest such as Obertraun Station (25 minutes walk), Supermarket (15 minutes walk), Dachstein Krippenstein cable car (35 minutes walk), Koppenbrüller cave (45 minute walk), Hallstatt (about 1.5h walk but can get there in about an hour if taking the ferry, we walked) and various local hiking trails we enjoyed. It's an absolutely perfect place for a stay in Obertraun and I would definitely recommend it. Really hope to come back to this beautiful area and would stay in this apartment again without any hesitation.

Gyönyörű környezetben volt, az erkélyről csodálatos kilátás nyílt a környező hegyekre. Mindennel fel volt szerelve amire szükségünk volt.
