Alicate Beach Marbella by ELE Apartments

The apartment was a good size, clean and kitchen was well stocked for self catering. Plenty of cutlery, dishes, pots and pans, utensils. Full size fridge freezer, dishwasher and a handy pack of kitchen essentials (washing up liquid, a dishwasher tab, dishcloth, bin liners) but if you plan to run the dishwasher more than once you may want to bring some spares. Bedrooms and bathroom were tidy and clean. Bath and hand towels provided. We did have to make the bed up for the main bedroom, bed linen was provided. For the second room (bunk bed) there were bed sheets laid and pillowcases but no duvet covers. Nice and comfortable outside terrace for relaxing/eating and nice touch with the citronella candles, which we used completely as there are bugs, which is to be expected (suggest taking bug repellent). We had a Ground floor apartment so very handy to walk off the terrace to the pool which had plenty of sun loungers. Area around to pool was clean and tidy each day. Very close the beach with various bars/restaurants with one close by that was good for breakfast or just a coffee. Communications about our booking was detailed and clear. We arrived after 1am which was no problem. The instructions provide info to open the main gate which was a swipe on the phone and PIN number to get into the apartment. While we didn’t use reception info was provided on about how to contact them, local sites/trips for the area, transport etc. lovely welcome and goodbye comms which was a nice touch. The nearest supermarket is about 15-20 mins walk away. Good choices for fruit, veg, cooked/uncooked meats, drinks, snacks which is about what you would expect. We did a shop and got a taxi back. Uber is available but a bit £££ depending on the time of day. Local taxi is cheaper which could be booked online. We arrived during the worst power outage Spain has ever experienced, however owing to the diligence of the staff we managed to gain access to the apartment within 20 minutes of our arrival. Pretty impressive customer service to be honest! The apartment was great too!
