Grand Ocean Bay Resort Phu Quoc

We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Bay / Grand Ocean Bay Resort during our 5-day honeymoon on Phu Quoc Island. A very special thank you to Kyle, our resort host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and truly special throughout our stay. His professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made a real difference to our experience. Kyle is a perfect example of what outstanding customer service should be. Very cozy and nice.

The fact that there wasn’t a bathroom lock from the inside. The bathrooms are a bit open and people can jump in so could not really have a peaceful sleep. Also the shower gel and shampoo was sticking like hair removal cream. Please change!

The resort is beautifully designed to integrate with the forest and beach

The pool was a real highlight of our stay, providing a great place to relax and unwind. The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The buffet breakfast offered a great variety of options, and each morning we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and cheerful staff, which made for a wonderful start to the day.

The main downside of our stay was that there was no prior notification that one side of the resort was closed during our visit. As a result, the only reception area and bar were located on the opposite side of the property, which required either a considerable walk or transport to access. While resort carts were available to shuttle guests around, they were not always readily available, making it inconvenient at times to move between our room and the main facilities. The resort is also located quite a distance from most attractions, so guests should be prepared for regular travel if they plan to explore the area. Better communication about the partial closure before arrival would have helped manage expectations and improved the overall experience.
