A Superbly Located, Comfortable and Characterful Seafront Flat

This high-ceilinged, mezzanine, second-floor flat forms part of what used to be a grand, seafront hotel. Consequently, it has a large, double-window opening directly onto the beachfront and boardwalks, with superb views out to sea and towards Le Havre. There are two lifts to access the flat, although people with limited mobility may find access to the mezzanine bed space and slightly raised shower challenging (although there is a fold out double sofa bed at the main floor level). Otherwise, the flat is comfortable, with easy-to-adjust heating, and is adequately equipped. It is also within easy walking distance of Trouville railway/bus stations and the town centre, where there are many shops, restaurants, food shops, as well as a superb daily fish market and a large, twice-weekly general market. The town has an excellent, clean sandy beach and seafront facilities, and much to interest visitors. Good, low-cost public bus services also operate from here, all along the Normandy coast.

For the most part, communication with the hosting agency was satisfactory, and at first the automated, on-line log-in system appeared good. But after receiving repeated emails from it, we became a little confused and missed vital information embedded within the many sections of text, not consistently in English. Phone calls to the agency eventually resolved the issues using Franglais! Fewer, better thought-through communications would be an improvement, as would renewing the old, original door lock, which was a nightmare to operate - clearly, we're no safe breakers!

Séjour agréable mais confort à améliorer (surtout l'hiver)

Bel immeuble imposant de 1910 face à la mer de Trouville, et des installations balnéaires, les pieds dans le sable, charmant et mystérieux à la fois. Hall spacieux et large escalier à double révolution tapissé à chaque niveau, un appartement bien agencé et tout équipé pour un séjour agréable sans manquer de rien d'important: une cuisine équipée pour tous les repas, avec lave-vaisselle et petit frigo, un coin séjour avec table à manger, canapé et téléviseur, un coin chambre avec literie surélevée et cloison coulissante pour plus d'intimité. La salle d'eau accessible dès l'entrée, ni trop grande ni trop petite avec lavabo miroir, cabine de douche et wc, linge de lit et serviettes fournis.

Appartement avec un beau volume mais difficile à chauffer en hiver car exposition direct aux embruns et vents forts du front de mer, un modeste radiateur dans le séjour et un autre dans la salle d'eau, pas de vmc au mur. Les nuits sont froides. La literie n'était pas à notre goût car le sommier est trop rigide, mais cela dépend du goût personnel de chacun. Quelques petits défauts sommaires par-ci par-là concernant les poignées de porte branlantes, les peintures murales écaillées et la télévision impactée mais ceux-ci sont dûs à l'usure normale.

Ужасно грязно, все старое, мягкая мебель сальная, кухня и все на кухне липкое. Было очень брезгливо даже присесть. Слой пыли под и на комоде. Окно все в брызгах и подтеках как будто его не мыли вечность. Простое неуважение к гостям и злоупотребление местоположением отеля. Хозяин невежлив, сноб.

Situation exceptionnelle

Situation exceptionnelle, face à la mer et à quelques pas du centre ville. Appartement fonctionnel et bien équipé. Matelas confortables. Immeuble calme. Le seul hic est que je n'ai pas pu travailler un peu car pas de wifi de tout le séjour (problème avec le fournisseur et la ligne) et la 4G n'était pas du tout stable (sur deux opérateurs différents). Un soir, on n'avait même pas de service. Par contre, la 4G fonctionnait dans le couloir de l'immeuble.

On avait pas compris que la chambre était ouverte sur le salon mais c est bien fait et l’appartement et agréable . C est propre mais la salle de bain aurait besoin d’un coup de frais. 50 euros pour un late check out c est cher je trouve

L'emplacement (près des commerces, de la thalasso, de la plage) la vue sur mer très dégagée ; hyper calme (fenêtre fermée) ; grand escalier central de l'ancien palace ; la cuisine fonctionnelle et très bien équipée ; le confort du lit ;l'espace nuit avec vue sur mer ; le bel espace a vivre

Peu d'espace dans la chambre qui est isolée du salon seulement par 2 portes coulissantes type placard KZ et les 4 marches étroites pour rejoindre le lit ; le parquet vraiment glissant
