Ortigia Sea Apartment

The location is superb, a minute from the sea, in a beautiful street, close to the Duomo and many restaurants. Rainia, the manager, was welcoming and very helpful. The bed is comfortable, the smart TV has Netflix and Amazon Prime. The apartment is pretty, there are plenty of charging points. Spacious fridge and freezer too. And a little balcony with two chairs and a table- delightful. The bathroom shower was powerful, toiletries were provided and a generous supply of toilet rolls. There were coffee pods, ground coffee, a variety of tea bags and olive oil too- plus a large bottle of cold water in the fridge- all very much appreciated.

There was only one thing. The kitchen area is tiny with v little space to prepare food. The extractor fan is next to the sink and wider than the cooker and we bumped our heads on it. The provision of a sharp knife for vegetables and a bread knife would be useful.

Right in the heart of the historic area. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Although on a busy street, the high quality windows blocked out any noise. The owner helped me find parking for our rental car which was around the corner.

The shower is a squeeze.

The location was perfect. We were very happy with everything and had a great stay.

Excellent location in the middle of Ortigia yet net to the sea. Studio is spacious, well equipped. We could have an earlier check in and comunication with owner was swift (Whatsapp). We've been many times in Ortigia and this studio was above average. Access by car is possible (beware of traffic control zone) which makes baggage unloading easier.

Keys are a bit fiddly to use (especially because the hallway is quite dark). There is a bar below with puts music but only before dinner, and the balcony is right above it. No problem if windows are closed (which they will be because of the aircon). In general it is not a silent neighborhood, but that's normal since the apartment is in the middle of the city.
