Great location. Comfortable beds. Beautiful Yurt. Loads for our kids to do. All you need and more for cooking, washing etc. thanks so much- we will be back!
We felt you could tell it was a well used site with bits and bobs left lying around. Maybe a wee general tidy of rubbish and unused item would make it 10/10!

Beautiful, quiet and peaceful location.
The compost toilet did not get emptied and smelled quite bad after a couple of days.
Could do with some hooks in the shower and in the kitchen.

No lock or key provided, and no instructions on where it might be, leaving us unsure how to secure the yurt.
No curtain or covering; the entire front of the yurt is a glass window, leaving us with no privacy.
No mobile signal, which was not disclosed beforehand. If we had been informed that there was no way to call for help in an emergency, we would never have booked this stay.
Additionally, if there had been a key or curtain somewhere on-site, there was no note or instruction to inform us. These basic details are essential for guest safety and comfort.
We arrived after a long drive from Edinburgh, in the dark, rain, and heavy fog, exhausted and just wanting a safe place to rest. As three women travelling together, we did not feel safe staying there at all and had to book another hotel last-minute, paying out of pocket.

The forest next door with a river running through was the perfect escape to nature we needed
It said basic cooking utensils, but we couldn't find a pan to use for our sausages in the morning 😞

Loved that it was in the middle of nowhere.
Back with nature including compost toilet, kitchen facilities, very close to the river and plunge pool. Very basic but adequate facilities. Exceptional and positive vibe. Only seen the local farmer (contact number provided for any hep) who was prepping water etc for us and that is because we were a bit early arriving. Otherwise you are on your own 🥰

Our stay at the wilding your was excelent, it was private and so much space for our child and dog to play. The private wooded area was amazing and every were you looked there was something to either play with or explore.
Amazing experience and we will definitely be telling friends and family and rebooking for ourselves.
Not one complait, can't wait to go back.
Nothing, we loved everything

What can I say! We have just returned from several nights at the Wilding Yurt and have had an amazing time. The whole experience was superb. The site was easy to find and the tent was so cosy and had everything you could think of. Yes, there is no signal and you're cut off but in modern times with 3 kids this was a blessing. They made the most of the woods and swimming in the steam (even if my daughter found out the disadvantages of false nails and jagged rocks). Special thanks to the farmer for use of his first aid kit! This was the only blip on what has been a great getaway. We enjoyed toasting marshmallows and hot chocolate around the fire, bbqs, and snuggling in the Yurt with a roaring fire on an evening. The location is also great for exploring and close to Coniston and other lovely villages. The Blacksmiths Arms is only a 5 minute walk and is a brilliant old school pub. We had a beautiful meal one evening and a nice cold pint to wash it all down.
I think it's safe to say we will 100% be back as there were some seriously sad faces upon departure. Thank you once again for letting us enjoy the Yurt, it was amazing.

This yurt was perfect for a little family getaway after a hectic few days as a big group. It's very remote, with private field and woodland/creek area. My boys thought they were on a.forest school camping holiday.
Obviously wasn't expected but no fridge/cool space made things difficult as the area is so remote to get any food supplies - it was a particularly hot weekend which made things worse.

The property was self contained it gave us a feel of what’s required for first time campers. The river close by was a bonus and the Forest was everything you could ask for in the heat. Very calming space and clearly loved. Excellent communication from Meg when I reached out . I cannot fault this lovely gem and I am definitely coming back.

Absolutely amazing. This is the third time I have visited this beautiful yurt and have another booking in summer. Beautiful location, amazing place to stay with everything you could need. Really comfy bed, lovely log burner and just a minutes walk to a beautiful river. Would highly recommended.
