I was met at the property to collect the keys and shown around the house. The host was friendly, welcoming and informative. The property is lovely, bright, very clean and well furnished with everything you will need for a stay. There is a little garden area at the back and a table and chairs to use. The property was pet friendly although I do still take throws and quilts with me when I stay away as I like to cover people's furniture even when a property is described as 'dog friendly'. There is a fee for cleaning after your stay when you take a pet but this is not extortionate and understandable. There's a nice local walk by a river to take the dog for a walk. I only booked for two nights as it was a work trip but I would have liked to stay longer for a personal trip and explore the area as it was very beautiful. Also very close to York which would be handy for a visit.

The thing to note is I have an MPV and the streets around the area and to the property are quite small so this meant reversing out as there was no space to turn around. There are a lot of double yellow sections in front of and around the property so I had to pull up outside the house, empty the car and then was shown a nearby parking area which was free and more than adequate.

Well kept, spotless and all furniture and fittings were a high standard

It was perfect for us. The bed was very comfortable and out host met us there and made us very welcome. He even went to get us a bottle of milk because we hadn’t managed to get any.

There was nothing we didn’t like. It was just as described.

The shower, kept playing up and couldnt turn the temp down, the flow wasnt great either especially if you flushed the loo
