The location is very close to the airport and the Port of Miami which made it the perfect place for me coming into the country by air and then leaving on a cruise. The house is small but has everything you need for a couple of nights. Well equipped kitchen area and it is clean throughout. Air conditioning works well and is quiet. The outside covered seating area is nice to enjoy the warm weather and to eat at a table. The house itself is just a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom so the outside seating feels like an extra room.
The nearest supermarket is a 20 minute walk, partly through the residential area around the house which felt safe for me as a single female traveller. You need to cross a main highway but there are good crossing points to make it a safe walk. I went out between 8:45 and 10am and felt very safe.
Unfortunately, I had a fall in the street on my way back from the supermarket on the morning of the first full day, requiring me to visit an urgent care facility. I called Fara to ask if she knew of the nearest one and she kindly provided me with the details so I could call an Uber to take me there. She also checked on me a few hours later to make sure I was OK and didn't need anything.
I had travel insurance so the very thorough checks and tests I received at the urgent care didn't cost me anything and they were really kind.
The listing and previous reviews mention tea and coffee being available, pastries and a bottle of wine. There was plenty of tea but no coffee pods for the machine in the kitchen, no pastries or wine. I don't drink tea and I had assumed there would be coffee so I was disappointed that this wasn't available.
As I had to speak to Fara about my accident, I asked her about the wine and coffee. She later came to the house to bring me a bottle of wine. The coffee wasn't available though.
