If I was rating based solely on the owner, I'd give it 5 stars hands down. The owner was very communicative, very friendly and super helpful.
House itself was cute w/colorful, fun decor and was clean. Outdoor space was also very cute with lots of seating and decorated nicely. Unfortunately, we didn't get much of a chance to enjoy it; security cameras and motion-sensor lights cover the entire backyard, which made it impossible for us to enjoy the space, esp. at night after we returned from sight-seeing. We didn't feel we had any privacy and, with no way to turn off the lights, the slightest movement triggered extremely bright lights.
Located in a residential neighborhood but this is not a quiet area. There is a bus & trolley line on the same street with higher traffic, sits almost directly in a flightpath for MIA and some of the neighbors are pretty lively. There were parties on a couple nights we were there. If we could have enjoyed the outdoor space and 'borrowed' their music for our enjoyment but, for the reasons stated above, we could not.
The padlocked gate was good from a security standpoint but a pain having to unlock/lock to park the rental car.
Tub drains slow; ankle deep in water by end of shower
Great to have W/D but the dryer had something wrong; loud banging/rattling so couldn't use at night.
If you are looking for a city setting and don't mind a louder, more 'active' neighborhood, this might be your place but for us, it was just not a good fit.
