Cosy Holiday Home in Durbuy with Garden

We stayed at this holiday house with eight adults over a long Ascension weekend and overall we were very happy with our stay. The price-performance ratio is excellent and we would definitely consider coming back again. The house is modern, bright, and very well laid out. One of the biggest positives for us was the spacious common area. The kitchen is large enough to comfortably cook and spend time together with eight to ten adults. There is also a newer square IKEA table next to the kitchen, which is not yet visible in the current photos and works very well as additional storage or workspace. The main dining table also offers enough seating for everyone. In the living room there are plenty of seating options with a large sofa and additional armchairs, so everybody can sit together comfortably. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also very practical. There are three separate toilets in total, as well as two large bathrooms, each with double sinks, a bathtub, and a shower. There was always enough hot water for everyone. We also appreciated the separate utility/storage room with an additional sink where you can clean larger or dirtier items. Outside there are two large tables with benches, making it very nice to eat outdoors together. There is also a barbecue grill available in the garage that guests can use if desired (charcoal needs to be purchased separately). Parking was sufficient as well: two cars fit easily on the driveway and there is space for another one nearby. The location is very quiet with hardly any traffic passing by. Another nice detail is that almost all windows on the upper floor have mosquito screens, which makes it easy to ventilate the rooms during summer. It is also important to know that guests should bring basic supplies such as soap, dishwashing liquid, and enough toilet paper. There was one kitchen towel provided on site. The location is also perfect for activities around Durbuy. We visited Adventure Valley Durbuy, which is only about a 10-minute drive away, and the house is an excellent base for exploring the area. There are, however, a few things that should definitely be improved. Some of the drains seemed partially clogged. The toilet on the ground floor did not flush properly and one sink in the upstairs right-side bathroom drained very slowly. The owner was reachable and friendly by phone, but we did not receive replies via WhatsApp or email, and the issues were not resolved during our stay. We also had ants in the kitchen/l
