About this apartment rental
Wonderful luxury updated 3 BR Xanadu just across the street from the beach. Spectacular updated kitchen and baths. All new LVP flooring with new paint, new stainless steel appliances, new cabinets and new Silestone countertops. What a decorators dream. New furniture and new beds adorn the living room and the bedrooms. High vanities, new cabinets and new granite tops in the bathrooms. Living room is open and sunny with the extra window on being an end condo. Large deck overlooking the lagoon is off the living room. Kitchen, dining area and living room are open so you get more room to relax. The master bedroom has a king size bed with en suite full bath and deck right off the master bedroom. The first guest room has a queen bed with a full bath right across the hall. The second guest room has a bunk bed with two double beds and access to the full bath also. Condo comfortably sleeps 8 people. Xanadu offers free tennis and has a community pool too. Your reservation includes bike rentals and beach gear. 8 Xanadu in Forest Beach is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Head Vacations, Inc, a locally owned company.
Forest Beach is a great location to be on Hilton Head. You have easy access to the beaches, just across the street. There are numerous shops, bars and restaurants located in the Coligny shopping area. You can enjoy breakfast at Skillets or Plantation Deli, pizza at New York City Pizza or dinner at Big Bamboo. Big Bamboo has live entertainment and a great bar area. The Town of Hilton Head has developed a beautiful town park with a huge grass area to picnic in or enjoy the huge Pirate Ship playground, just off Pope Avenue. All this within a minute or two of Xanadu. Miles of bike paths are just in front of the condo on Forest Beach road.

Our first time in HH. Unit was clean, nice and as expected by pictures. Unit had beach wagon, chairs available in unit but not mentioned on listing. Should be mentioned as I rented but didn’t need to. Only call out otherwise a comfortable unit in good location to beach

We loved the location of the condo. It was the perfect size for the 7 of us. It had everything we needed, except I really wished the washer and dryer were in the condo and not coin operated. The floors needed a good cleaning, and a lot of the outlets didn’t work.

The condo is very roomy and well equipped. However, while we were there the toilet in the hall bathroom was broken. We were told at check in on Saturday that it would be repaired on Monday. There was a note taped to the toilet stating the same. It was not fixed or even checked Monday. When we inquired about it we were told they would check and let us know. We also reported that the kitchen light was not working. We were reassured someone would be by to fix it. Late Tuesday afternoon no one had checked the light or toilet. The only lighting in the kitchen was a small table lamp. We had 2 small children sleeping in the other bedrooms with bathrooms which made it very difficult to access a bathroom. Again we were told someone would address both these issue but it was contracted work and difficult to know exactly when it would be resolved. We were also told that there was sufficient lighting in the kitchen. On Wednesday afternoon a plumber came, assessed the problem and said he didn’t know when the repair would be completed. An electrician also came. The electrician returned Thursday to replace the light. The plumbers came late Friday afternoon and replaced the toilet. The property manager never Initiated a call to us unless we messaged him. We were disappointed in the delay in the repairs and and the lack of communication. At no time were we offered any compensation or an apology. The property needed a deep clean. But more importantly the property manager needed to be honest.
