A special place with a stunning view

The view is stunning, and literally took my breathe away. The room is beautiful, the bath is a bonus. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. Staff were amazing and super friendly.

The villa is not on google maps yet, which made it hard to find. It is up in the jungle, not walkable to minimart or shops.

The hotel needs renovation. For this price there are much better and cleaner hotels on the island.

The hotel has a strange feeling. On the one hand, a beautiful view, on the other hand, a huge number of problems and shortcomings

The hotel smells of dampness, there is not a single hook in the bathroom to hang towels, there is no glass to put toothbrushes. The door between the bathroom and the room is transparent without curtains and even if you book 2 beds and go with a friend or a child, then from the bedroom theycan see how you take a shower. Plus the bathroom window doesn't have dark curtains and in the morning the light from the windows is right in your eyes. If you live under a pool, you will constantly hear the sound of water flowing out of the pool, like someone flushing a toilet. And the most important thing is that there is non-stop construction nearby. The room is so uncomfortable that there is no room to even open a suitcase. Don't expect peace and quiet!

Peaceful and relaxing and a touch of luxury.

This property is really beautiful and tastefully decorated. Stepping into the villa, you come into a communal living area with really comfy sofas and kitchen area. The infinity pool is also on this level with great views over lush green trees all the way to the coast. Our room was 2 flights of stairs down but as the property is situated on the side of a hill, the views from our room were still lovely. Our room was spacious with the comfiest bed we slept on during our travels around Bali. Breakfast is cooked to order by Wayan every morning and is delicious. The staff at this property were really friendly and helpful. They are happy to arrange excursions and also to drive you to and from the local restaurants for a small fee.

There wasn’t anything about this property that we didn’t like. It should be mentioned however, that this property is just outside the main shopping area and is located up a hill with no restaurant available for lunch or evening meals and walking to restaurants isn’t really an option.

Breathtaking view

The view from the villa is breathtaking. It is modern and beautiful. Definitely worth staying few nights and just enjoying the view and peaceful surroundings.

The breakfast is OK and there is no lunch or dinner options. So you need to go somewhere else to eat. Definitely rent a scooter.

Most beautiful view in a beautiful villa

This place is SO BEAUTIFUL. The staff were exceptionally helpful, always happy to organise anything for us and provide recommendations.

The location is not really close to anything, so you need to hire a bike or arrange for drivers. Don't worry though, the staff at the property can help you with all of that.

Amazing property / staff took good care of us while my wife recovered from a sprained ankle!

My wife and I came to Villa Kaliente on our honeymoon, and we are in agreement that the property was probably the nicest place we've ever stayed. That said, we had a complicated stay in Nusa Penida, due to the fact that my wife sprained her ankle pretty severely the second we arrived to the island (stepping off the ferry dock onto dry land). When we got to the villa, we were completely dependent on the staff, because my wife couldn't get around. The staff (and especially the manager Putu) went above and beyond, helping us acquire crutches and an elastic bandage, as well as picking up every single meal for three days! We're very thankful for their help, which saved this leg of the trip. Unfortunately, we were basically confined to the villa for three days; fortunately, it was an incredibly comfortable place to be stuck! We stayed in the king suite on the upper floor, which has an amazing balcony, and the most shockingly high-quality interiors of any place we've been. Everything was beautiful and comfortable: the furniture, the shower, the bathtub, the bed, the built-in cabinetry. We wish we could live in this room!! My wife was on the couch icing her ankle most of the time, and it was the coziest couch imaginable. The fantastic view of Mount Agung from the pool / our balcony is something I will remember forever.

When we arrived, we were disappointed to learn that the "restaurant" serves breakfast, but for other meals the chef is only available for large groups, something that was not communicated clearly (here or on the property's website). This is a pretty important detail because the property is up a windy unpaved road, and we didn't have a car (plus my wife's injury was too delicate for us to leave). However, as I said above, the staff picked up meals for us from nearby restaurants the whole time we were there; I'm still not entirely sure if this was special treatment because of my wife's injury or if this is standard procedure for the property. It all worked out, but it was a bit confusing. Also worth noting: there were brownouts at the property pretty often, but the power was never out for long and it was really not an issue for us. (I'm not totally sure but I suspect this is a Nusa Penida problem more than a Villa Kaliente problem.)

Piscina molto bella, suggestiva. Comodo l’unico ristorante nei paraggi e raggiungibile a piedi in appena 2 minuti, peccato solo che sia davvero caro per essere in Indonesia ed abbia pochissima scelta. Colazione buona.

Pulizia assolutamente da rivedere, sia della camera che delle lenzuola. Posizione davvero scomoda, irraggiungibile con uno scooter se non si vuole attentare alla propria vita (la strada é strettissima e in alcuni punti ci sono dirupi). Non è un hotel ma una casa vacanze e come tale non ha reception h24. Di notte è abbastanza inquietante dato il buio intorno. Prezzi spropositati per ciò che offre.

Het personeel was werkelijk fantastisch en enorm behulpzaam. Alles waar wij om vroegen werd direct opgepakt. De kamer was erg mooi, het uitzicht prachtig en het ontbijt was ontzettend lekker. We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad.

Het bubbelbad bij het zwembad werkte helaas niet, dat was jammer. Daarnaast zou het goed zijn als het beddengoed en de handdoeken binnenkort worden vervangen. Ze waren wel schoon, maar hadden duidelijk vlekken en zijn gezien de prijsklasse toe aan vernieuwing.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer und das Bad waren groß und sauber. Der Frühstücksbereich inklusive Pool war super schön und sauber!

Die Bettwäsche war dreckig, wurde aber direkt gewechselt, nachdem wir es bemängelt haben. Das Hotel liegt eher abgelegen.

La villa et la piscine

Le bruit qu’il y avait dans notre chambre à cause de la fontaine qui se trouve à côté de la pièce de massage, le manque de snack à l’hôtel et le manque vraiment de sourire du personnel et il faut faire aussi attention au ménage manque de propreté. Les chambres sont faites mais ne sont pas propres comme il devrait être. Les serviettes sales restent au même endroit sans les enlever.

Espectacular estancia y vistas

Creo que es de los hoteles más espectaculares en los que me he alojado nunca. Ahí con toda la selva delante, el mar, hasta un volcán... impresionante la infinity pool, las vistas desde la habitación (tuvimos la suite) y las instalaciones en general.

No puedo decir nada al respecto. Solo que me hubiera quedado más días!

Superbe séjour avec une vue magnifique

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet hôtel ! La vue depuis la piscine est tout simplement la meilleure de Nusa Penida, à couper le souffle. L’endroit est calme, parfait pour se détendre, avec très peu de monde. Le personnel est très agréable, toujours souriant et serviable. Le service de linge est aussi très pratique. Un petit coin de paradis, idéal pour se ressourcer loin de la foule !

La propreté de la literie à revoir !! Alerte cafard dans la salle de bain !

Le personnel était sympathique! Nous n’avions pas prévu de dîner en pensant que le restaurant de l’hôtel était disponible. Un staff de l’hôtel nous a gentiment commandé à manger et livré à notre chambre. Belle vue de la piscine! Et chambre spacieuse.

Alerte cafard dans la salle de bain. Nous avons eu des invités surprises dans la salle de bain pendant la douche. 3 cafards sont apparus !! Cela a gâché notre nuit… heureusement que nous ne séjournions qu’une nuit. Nous étions content de quitter ces lieux le lendemain matin ! Les linges de lit avec des taches suspicieuses. Nous avons demandé à les changer, ce qui a été fait très rapidement mais ce n’était pas plus propre qu’avant. L’hôtel est joli mais les alentours sont à désirer…
