LOFT face à la ville Close Concarneau

Die Lage und die Räumlichkeiten sind traumhaft. Die Schlüsselübergabe war persönlich, unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Auch bei der Übergabe vor der Abreise hat alles wunderbar funktioniert. Die Loft ist sehr geräumig und modern. Der Parkplatz in der Garage ist gerade in der Hauptsaison ein Segen.

Die Sauberkeit und die Instandhaltung der Infrastruktur hat Luft nach oben. Der Dampfabzug hat nicht funktioniert, was für uns, die gerne regional kochen, die Freude gedämpft hat. Div. Türen, Duschen oder Einrichtungen würden sich über einen versierten Handwerker freuen. Der defekte Dampfabzug ist der Vermieterin anscheinend bekannt, wurde aber trotzdem nicht repariert. Die schmale Treppe in den dritten Stock ist mit Gepäck eine richtige Fitnesseinheit.

Allerbeste Lage, direkt gegenüber der Ville Close. Alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Es gibt eine Garage in direkter Umgebung, die man für das Auto nutzen kann. Hier muss man etwas aufpassen beim Einparken, weil die Straße recht eng ist, aber alles super. Vom balkonartigen Gaubenfester des Lofts hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Yachthafen und die Ville Close. Direkt vor der Haustür ist freitags Markt.

Nous avons adoré l'emplacement, la vue exceptionnelle sur le port de Concarneau et la ville close. Un grand merci à Hélène pour son accueil sympathique. Le logement est très grand, très propre.

Quelques manques d'entretien (volets roulants, hote aspirante en panne, climatisation en panne) c'est dommage pour un logement de ce standing. Quelques nuisances olfactives (et visuelles) dues aux nombreuses déjections d'oiseaux.

The apartment is spacious and well located, close to restaurants and the Ville Close. It has its own garage so parking was easy (although the angles would be too tight for a big car). There is plenty of clothes storage (hangers, shelves and drawers) and empty cupboards in the kitchen. The living room is spacious and Helene and her husband were helpful.

The apartment is next to a building site. We were woken before 7am every day by the noise. The apartment was unusual in that there was a basin + a shower or bath in every bedroom. This was not very practical. We stayed when the record for the highest temperature recorded in France was broken and so we had the constant quandary – shall we have windows open to allow some air or shut to keep out the noise and mosquitos (attracted by the damp towels)? We decided open but cleaned our teeth in the dark every night. If the washing facilities had been behind a partition wall we could have put a light on to wash & kept the bedroom dark and ventilated. The 2 separate toilets had lights on motion sensors but 1 was timed to switch off after 110 seconds. The sensor didn’t see arms waving when sitting on the loo and so we had to take a torch in with us for when the light turned off (sometimes you need more than 2 minutes). Neither of the toilets had a lock on the door & the door to the toilet that I used didn’t always close fully. I thought the apartment was listed as having fans. There was just 1 fan which wasn’t much use for 3 bedrooms. I tried to buy more but there were none anywhere. Perhaps the owner should purchase some when there is the opportunity or maybe have the air conditioning fixed. Being on the 3rd floor in a loft apartment with sunlight streaming in was unbearable and made worse by seeing air conditioning units that didn’t work. We had purposefully booked an apartment with a decent sized TV so we could watch world cup football matches but the TV didn’t work. Helene’s husband twice came to try to fix it but I think the TV box had over heated. The master bedroom has a window with an electric shutter. Closing it was easy but not opening. When we pointed this out to Helene she was fully aware and showed us exactly where we should have pressed to make it work. Finally, there was a lot of unsightly bird poo on the Velux windows & glass balcony
