the location was quiet, and very spacious.

We did not have slippers to walk inside the house, also there was a sponge in the bathroom for everyone to use? I think more amenities should have been place in the bathroom. Also, there was no detergent to wash clothes.

I liked the neighbourhood, easy access to transportation and local shops.

Washroom was small

It was cheap and a really short walk from the train station. But this is far from Tokyo, and we often took the last train (at 1:30) from main attractions. It had a good grocery store very close and convenience store nearby, which is a plus for late night food after a day of walking. I asked for a main floor to avoid stairs and I had it. Very quiet too.

This was the last stop at our 3-week Japan trip, so I had a lot of other stays in Japan, at smiliar price range, to compare. The room was not super clean, the bathroom had hairs and the blankets and pillows were not smelling like fresh cleaned, it was the only stay in our 3-week Japan trip that did not have the "smart toilet seat" (it had an old model that didn't fit the toilet and was not comfortable, which is something you learn to value after visiting Japan!). It was close to the train station, but the train station was very far from the main attractions, which end up adding a significant amount on the train fare everyday (approximately $12/day per person, we were 3 so for about $36/day I could have invested in a bit of a closer stay). Most stays in Japan are tight, but this one was specially small and didn't have space for bags, though the mezanine bed was a good way to have some room.
