Bright & Modern 2-Bed Glenfield Hospital Apartment - Sleeps 6

Location for access for our family

Both TVs weren't working and although we reported it straight away, the situation remained the same over the 4 week stay - the only thing we could access was itvx. When we arrived, there were majr electrical issues to the point where the manager had to call in an electrician to fix them, as it was unsafe and most likely illegal to let it like that. The beds were so soft, I had back spasms and missed out on a planned trip to Bournemouth. The sink plug got stuck in the bathroom and it took 3 days to get it fixed. There were no istructions for the appliances and it took days to work them out, once they were working after the electrician had been. There is no shower caddy and so we had to bend continuously to pick up our shampoo and balance the soap on the water heater, many times unsuccessfully, so we had to bend again. In the last week, we actually got locked inside the flat when the handle lost a screw and I had to get a knife to open the door. There is nowhere to store food and so we had it all over the kitchen. There were no spare bin liners or washing powder. We sought to have our sheets changed in the third week and were told it would be a 50 pound charge! The lobby area was very smelly and dirty. We felt like it was a doss house and we didn't want to stay there - it made our holiday seem too long, whereas last year we had an airbnb place in Enderby, and we didn't want to leave. I felt it was misrepresented on-line. The caretaker of the facility (Remi) was trying to help us, but she could only do so much with what she had. She said she would get a new sink after we left. I was with my 87 year old Mum and I just wanted it to be nice for her, but I couldn't give that to her. We were so disappointed. I even found a small piece of glass in my bed - it was just awful.

Very Modern and nice feel to it. All in all a good place to stay

shower wasn’t great and internet didn’t work but got fixed.

the flat was spacious and modern

no tv signal shower holder broke but power was good no outdoor space matress past its best not 1 fork in cutlery draw overwhelming smell of drugs from other flats in same building cooking trays not clean i had to wash a tray to cook a supermarket pizza
