Overall, we had a pleasant stay and there were several things we really enjoyed about this apartment. The corner-unit view of the city was fantastic, and the living room layout was one of my favorite features. The bedrooms also had large windows that brought in plenty of natural light and made the space feel bright and welcoming. I also want to give credit to management for their kindness and flexibility. I accidentally forgot to return the garage door opener after reserving parking for one night, and they handled the situation very graciously. They easily could have charged a fee, but chose not to, which I appreciated.
That said, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. The first came at check-in when the parking space we had reserved was already occupied. This delayed our arrival and made the process more stressful than it needed to be. Given that the building has security cameras, it seems like this might be something that could be identified before assigning a space. The biggest disappointment was the hot water situation. I was unable to find any mention in the listing that the building relies on a shared 180-gallon water heater. We ran out of hot water on our first morning, and later I couldn't shower after returning from the gym. For travelers who expect reliable hot water throughout the day, this is important information to disclose. There were also a few discrepancies with the listing. The apartment advertised a washer, but there was no washer in the unit. Instead, the building has paid laundry rooms. Additionally, there were no towels available when we arrived despite the reservation having been made weeks in advance. Towels were eventually provided, which I appreciated, but it would have been nice to have them ready at check-in. Finally, the mattress in the bedroom closest to the living room was extremely uncomfortable. After a long road trip, a good night's sleep was important, and the mattress appeared to be worn out with a noticeable dip in the center.
