So lovely to stay in such a wonderful rural cottage looking out on the beautiful countryside and the bonus of seeing the lovely cows on the farm from the kitchen window! A generous size property full of all the things you would need for a family staying. It was so clean and tidy but felt homely.
Helen the host was so lovely and made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of tips on where to go and good restaurants to visit in nearby Ennis.
It was my husband’s birthday and she even left a bottle of wine on the table for us to celebrate! Thank you once again Helen x

It was a very homely family cottage with everything that we needed, was there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hostess Helen was most friendly and welcoming, and called to see if we had all our needs and if we needed anything, to call her.

Location was great for us as we had family nearby. Ennis isn't too far and local garage, pub and shop up the road.
Hosts were excellent, they came to check everything was OK for us and had a lovely chat. Very welcoming.
Had to go through one bedroom to get to the other. It would be great for a family but not when you have to share with your mother & father in law!

My wife, her sister, and I were visiting an old friend from Scotland, now living in Ennis, and we booked a weekend here in August 2025.
The cottage is in a lovely, picturesque setting about 20 minutes south of Ennis, and I'm delighted to give it a full 5-star rating.
Helen, the owner and her husband, couldn't have been nicer, welcoming us with a bottle of wine and showing us around the cottage.
It is exceptionally clean, bright, airy, and comfortable. We were having our meals with our friend in Ennis, so we weren't cooking, but the kitchen is well-equipped with everything one would need, even tea-pots, a cafetière and an air-fryer. Plus, of-course, a smart tv. We also noticed a gas barbecue outside. There is central heating if needed. Home from home.
The WiFi is top-class, very fast, and reliable.
We're so glad to have stayed here and would thoroughly recommend it without any hesitation whatsoever.
It is certainly value for money. Spotlessly clean and well worth the short drive from Ennis. The lovely owner, will send you the Eirecode beforehand, and this brings you right to the door.
There is a well-stocked supermarket a few minutes drive away in Lissycasey village.
A big thank you, Helen, for making our weekend so welcoming and enjoyable and we do hope to be back when visiting our old friend. Thank you!
Nothing whatsoever. The owner had spent time and effort getting everything right.

Loved being in such a rural situation, lovely area to walk in. Super friendly, helpful hosts, beautifully decorated spacious and comfortable property.
Not a dislike, just a little inconvenient that you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other.

Very clean. It was ideally located for us as we were visiting family near by. The property owners were very friendly, couldn’t have done more to make us welcome.

We loved the location on a lovely working farm, the facilities were amazing inside the house, it was so clean, easy to find with the eircode and the hosts were fantastic. Helen & her family were so warm and welcoming. We had a lovely trip.
Everything was perfect.

Helen & Senan were the most thoughtful & generous hosts.
There was a completely unexpected bottle of wine on the kitchen table when we arrived AND a packet of nice bikkies waiting near the kettle :)
The chalet had all we could possibly need for our, all too short stay. Senan arrived soon after us & offered to light the peat fire. We'd never experienced a peat fire, so we readily agreed. The warmth emitted was fabulous! He came in to light it again on our second night too & Helen checked on us later & added some wood to the mix :)
The beds were comfy, the shower had great pressure & lovely hot water. The kitchen was well equipped & we had a washing machine & a dryer.
We were told to use the heating whenever we needed it. Only needed to do this first thing in the mornings.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer time. We were made to feel so very welcome by our wonderfully kind & thoughtful hosts.
I don't think the profile photos do the farm house justice. It was far more cosy than the pics might suggest.

Our priority in staying in this neighbourhood was to visit local attractions like the music festival in Ennis, but be close enough to Shannon Airport to be able to return our rental car and fly home. It is amazing to us as Americans that Ireland is so unspoiled that this house was indeed a country farmhouse, in a completely rural farming area—between two working animal farms—several little roads in from the highway, yet so close to a world-famous airport. To find it, you absolutely need a car, a GPS and acquaintance with the Irish method of denoting addresses by the Eircode, or postal code. When we found it, it was a lovely house, with the three separate bedrooms we three unrelated friends wanted (one of them must be reached through another one), a cozy living room and a large, luxurious kitchen. The hospitable hosts, Helen and Senan, came over to chat and give us wisdom for our next visit, to show us the central heating and to build and light a peat fire in the living-room stove for us each night, a real treat for us. We loved the gorgeous, hilly surroundings, and liked the flavour of the country we even got from watching local TV in the evenings with tea, with quirky unfamiliar game shows and the broadcast in full of a scholarly conference on Yeats. A lovely place and people with which and with whom to conclude our stay in Ireland.
House is a bit remote from the main highway and resources.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. The house was very comfortable, spotless and had everything we needed for a most enjoyable stay. The location is lovely with very easy access to nearby towns. We hope to return soon. Even our dog loved it here.
Nothing to not like here.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Helen and Senan and daughter Maria are very welcoming and helpful hosts, Everything you could want was provided, and the location, while a little bit out of the way, gave us a great base for our daily activities.
Nothing to not like - I would love to visit again.

Helen and her family! We were so pleased to meet Helen and her family and to get to know them. Helen can’t do enough for her guests and always comes to check for needs and requirements. Helen and her family work incredibly hard on their beautiful farm and she’s always available to help if you need her. The views are delightful over beautiful countryside and rolling hills. The house and cottage are perched on a hill and offer plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. The rooms are spacious full of light from both sides, and are warm and comfortable. Bedrooms are spacious and not cluttered with unnecessary things. The farm is beautiful and we loved being there seeing the daily running of it. It’s not an easy life for farmers!! The nearest town of Ennis is very interesting and thriving. Plenty of shops, individual businesses and good cafes and restaurants.
Excellent butcher’s, fishmonger and greengrocer’s all in a line together. Perfect!!!
To sum up, Helen and her family are genuine, really good people who do everything they can to give their guests a lovely place to stay with no fuss or bother.
If you like beautiful countryside, this cottage is for you! Thank you to Helen and her family for being so kind and being such good hosts.
We wish you well with your cottage rental and with your lovely farm.
Only one snag to warn about, you must put the postcode into Google Maps to find the correct tuning off the main road after you leave Lissey Casey or you will struggle the first time. Google Maps found the cottage easily. It’s easy after that. Do your shopping first too. ( Advice, not criticism) Lissey Casey has a good supermarket and petrol station. Otherwise, it’s Ennis on the way.

We are just back from a wonderful stay here. The owners were so welcoming and even had the stove lit for us with a bottle of wine ready to pop on our arrival. This house is so comfortable and clean and we had all we needed for our stay. Our two dogs equally enjoyed their stay and their rambles on the field, with the permission of the owner. I would highly recommend and we will most definitely be returning.
