Location was good to walk into Aviemore .

The property has many positives: the lovely garden, relaxing patio area with sauna and hot tub, beautiful dining table, spacious layout, eco-friendly passive house design, and proximity to the town while maintaining a secluded, tranquil feeling. It was a relaxing setting with great potential.
Unfortunately, several issues overshadowed the positives. Upon arrival, we encountered cleanliness concerns, including broken glass and rubbish in the kitchen, toothpaste on bathroom tiles, and locked storage for essentials like towels—which smelled damp and unclean. Additionally, the toilet brushes and holders were in an unsanitary condition, containing stagnant water mixed with faecal matter, and the condiments left by previous guests were over a year out of date.
The downstairs shower leaked, flooding the bathroom and requiring a full day of mopping, laundering towels, and drying them. The owner attributed this to water pressure and adjusted it, but the shower continued to leak throughout our stay, leaving the issue unresolved.
Interactions with Nick about these concerns were unpleasant, leaving us feeling unvalued as guests. A single bed in the children's room emitted a strong odour akin to urine, further adding to the list of disappointments.
For the premium price (£409.92 per night during Easter weekend), I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, maintenance, and service. It was especially disappointing as this stay coincided with my birthday, and I was looking forward to a special weekend with family.
