Our stay in Twizel was perfect to explore Mt. Cook/Aoraki. The home had so much space to relax both indoors and outdoors. The view of the mountains from the primary bedroom was stunning! We cooked breakfast and one dinner in the home and the kitchen was well equipped, though more dish towels and a sponge would have been helpful. The washer and dryer were awesome to have to do a load of clothes (two packets of laundry detergent were provided).
The expectation that the dishwasher be emptied before departure feels a bit unrealistic, especially without providing a sponge or more than one dish towel. In most homes I’ve stayed in, guests are simply asked to start the dishwasher before leaving, particularly if breakfast is prepared that morning. Limiting basic amenities like kitchen trash bags, shampoo/body wash also comes across as a bit stingy.
