A fantastic stay from start to finish - thank you.

We had a lovely overnight at An Bothan and would not hesitate to go back. The property is really well laid out , absolutely pristine and finished off to a high specification. Shirley came to welcome us which we appreciated. The property has excellent views across Mallaig Harbour and is a short walk from local amenities.

A very special place

Views cosy very well thought about Martin and Shirley great hosts left us a lovely welcome pack on arrival and even let us charge our car as one at car park not working! Everything top notch bed ,towels smart tv . We will be back

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage with beautiful view

Beautiful little cottage with an amazing view across to the harbour and lighthouse. Great kitchen facilities and very comfortable living area and bed. Wish we had had more than one night.

Bit of a walk from the train station, especially in the rain - but worth it for the view. Bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom, which might be an issue for others, but not for us.

A great stay!

Great place to spend the night. Had everything that we needed. We were very impressed by the hosts and how thoughtful they were to let us use their generator during the storm when there was no power in the village. Highly recommend staying here!

A lovely place with a harbor view.

Beautiful lodging where we could stretch out a bit, cook a meal, and enjoy a harbor view. Comfortable, cozy, and well appointed. Our host was very communicative, kind, and offered us breakfast foods to make breakfast in the morning. There were other special touches that made our stay enjoyable. We really appreciated our host helping us with transportation to the train in the morning, as we arrived the day before by foot on the ferry.

We found no negatives about this property and only wished that we could have stayed longer!

Easy walk into town harbour was very picturesque we managed to spot some harbour seals.

Clean, convenient and well-presented accommodation.

The location overlooking the harbour was superb. It was a short walk to the town centre with its small supermarket and restaurants. Parking across the road was easy. Excellent for my needs. Welcome pack was superb - very generous.

Fabulous! 10/10

I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything was thought of to make our stay perfect! It was spotless, had good WiFi and parking right outside. The beds and couch were really comfy. The owners provided an incredibly generous welcome pack and were so lovely when we met them. The garden at the front is a suntrap if you are lucky enough to get some sunshine. Finally, that view! There was always something to watch, whether it was the fishing boats going in and out or watching the ferries arrive and depart. The harbour is closer than it looks in the pictures. We will definitely return!

I enjoyed that it was kind of like having our own house. It was nice that the host came out to meet us as soon as we arrived to explain different things and about parking. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was so nice to have a view of the water.

Very happy to find this as an alternative to the hotel I was going to book.

This property has amazing views over the harbour and out towards Skye. Its just far enough for the town centre (10 min walk) to be in a peaceful setting. Property is comfortable and very clean. We had a one night stay which was a great alternative to a hotel room. The owner was friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Property was modern, immaculate and had everything we could possibly want and more. Shirley and Martin even left provisions for us in our arrival. They were friendly and helpful throughout. This really is an exceptional place to stay with exceptional owners. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Cottage watching over ancient tides, surrounded by enchanting walks to explore

The location has beautiful view over harbour,short easy walk from train station, close to shops and restaurants. Loved the decor and warmth of cottage. Neat and fully equipped kitchen, loved attention to detail of all the delicious smelling soaps and creams in the bathroom.

Quiet stop off on our highlands trip during short train journey Fort William.

Lovely cosy home. Welcome snacks much appreciated loved the highland cow splashback. Nice view of the harbour. Ginger tabby picked us up from the harbour and made sure we checked in ok, enjoyed a soft whip ice cream from the shop enroute. Seals greeted us on our early rise to catch a bus to Morar.

The mattress made crunchy noises. My partner couldn't sleep as any slight movement made noise. Such a good sized bed and cosy room with smart tv though!

Fabulous accommodation, you will not be disappointed!

The property is furnished and decorated to a high standard, even down to bedding, toiletries and crockery. There was a full size oven, hob, microwave, toaster. The view from the property across the bay is incredible, both from the sitting room and bedroom. The property felt cosy and had everything you could need. The hosts were great, leaving plenty of tea, coffee, fresh milk and even some teacakes. I will be back!!!

Een aanrader, heel comfortabel.

Alles. We verbleven er maar 1 nacht maar An Bothan is werkelijk een heel comfortabel huisje, perfect in orde en heel proper. Het is fijn dat de slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping is. Bij aankomst was er een kleine attentie voor bij de koffie/thee. Er zijn zelfs paraplu’s ter beschikking. Er is werkelijk aan alles gedacht. De bedden liggen heerlijk. Vanuit het salon heb je een mooi zicht op de ferry terminal die zelfs te voet gemakkelijk te bereiken is. Een aanrader!
