Ideal for a short break

House was well equipped, especially within the kitchen

Was set up for 4 people ideally. Only 4 chairs at dinning table and breakfast bar. The double bed with single bunk above, needs to be tightened. The whenever someone moved the whole bed would shake, which was not ideal. The bed below was tight for two adults, might work better for kids. The finish in the house was poor

A gem of a property in my family’s favourite staycation destination.

The house is perfect for what i need . Clean , comfortable , plenty of space for the family to gather and my daughter to play. I have used this property this year and will continue to use it for any further trips to arisaig.

Perfect location, amazing property.

Fantastic property, very spacious and spotlessly clean. Very well kept and decorated beautifully. Everything you needed and more. The host was great with communication. I really liked the location aswell, everything within walking distance but far enough off the beaten track that it was so peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Awesome house, great location.

Excellent arrangements in the house. Everything was set up brilliantly. The whole family enjoyed the stay, including my 6 year old daughter. Really enjoyed the bike as well.

Only negative was that for 4 adults and 1 child there was a bunk bed in one room (not ideal but we managed).

Arisaig is a beautiful place to stay and a great location for exploring the local area.

I was expecting to retrieve the keys from a lock box, but the owner was there when we arrived, as he has a small property next door. There were a couple of places to eat and drink in Arisaig, both of which were very welcoming.

Ideally a bed settee would have been better to accommodate the fifth adult instead of the bunk bed situation over the double bed - but that’s a personal preference.

Excellent Stay 🌟

We had the best stay at Brae Hoose, Arisaig. Perfect location to explore the local area and felt like home. Plenty space and had everything we needed and more. Brae Hoose will forever be remembered as our first trip to Arisaig and where we got engaged 💍. Already can't wait to return.

Disappointing as a few small touches would really make a big improvement

The property was spacious for the three of us.

Frankly, the house was disappointing for the price. It was not well cleaned (eg bathroom bin not emptied from previous guests, some worktos were sticky). It was not a cheap place to stay but missed many small touches which make a stay more memorable. Only one towel per person, bins not lined, heating not set to come on in the morning (although the daytime temperatures were warm, overnight was quite cold). The hot water wasn't very hot, despite switching on the water heater. The garden furniture, whilst nice looking, was very overlooked by three other properties. There was also quite a bit of road noise as it's just below the main road. There is no coffee maker despite being in the description.

We had a great stay.

We liked the space and facilities that this house offers, both outside and inside. The 'sun' room attached to the living room was a great place to have breakfast (and other meals if you are home). We also enjoyed a lot of sun outside, on the terrace.

Cleanliness/housekeeping (especially in kitchen and room with washing machine) can be improved.

Comfortable stay

It rained relentlessly whilst we were in Arisaig so it was great to have a house to ourselves. The kids enjoyed playing on the X-box and Playstation when we were not out and about. The house was very comfortable. Only a small supermarket so I recommend you stock up before you get to Arisaig. During the weekend the Arisaig Shell Shack is a must!
