Brae Hoose

Great location. The house was very comfortably furnished and well equipped. There were enough utensils, pots and pans etc to cook for a family - this is quite a simple thing but is often overlooked. Steve the owner was on-site for part of the time we were there; he has a self-contained "man cave" next door that he uses when he visits. He had a couple of jobs to do in the house but he made sure he was as unobtrusive as possible. He was also a great source of local info. The Crofters Rest bar in the local hotel has a great atmosphere, a good choice of beers, good food and is dog-friendly. Lots of good walks around Arisaig. The Sound Bites cafe is also highly recommended.

Ideal stopover location for us on our road trip. Very convenient to Mallaig where we caught the ferry to Skye. Also got the chance to see the beautiful beach of Morar which was a short drive away. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and beautiful views of mountains in the distance.

We would have liked to spend more time here as it is such a beautiful house.

It was lovely to be able to sit out in the sun and see hills. Nice and quiet and easy access to places we wanted to go to.

The pillows ( if I had to choose one thing) but to be honest thats just me being picky.
