Really lovely cottage with everything we needed for a two week stay. Fabulous just, v easy check-in, comfy beds and stumper clean. Lots to do in the area; especially enjoyed the ferries to the Small aisles…saw loads of dolphins and minke whales.

We paid over 1,000 for this property, expecting a peaceful and well-equipped rural retreat. What we got was a stressful, uncomfortable experience that completely disrupted our holiday.Just hours after arriving, the Wi-Fi stopped working for four full days. The property is in a remote area with absolutely no mobile signal, leaving us completely cut off — no calls, no maps, no way to contact anyone. This critical detail was not mentioned in the listing and would have changed our decision to book. If connectivity matters to you, this property is a hard no.The house itself is underwhelming. One bedroom is literally inside the kitchen, offering zero privacy. None of the bedrooms have blackout curtains, which in a Scottish summer with just a few hours of darkness, meant constant light and severe sleep deprivation. The bathroom is tiny, with a shower cubicle so cramped it's barely usable. Then the boiler broke, and we had no hot water for two days, forcing us to shower at a public pool. While the host wasn’t responsible for the Wi-Fi outage (a BT issue), the lack of honesty about the signal situation and failure to offer meaningful compensation is unacceptable. We were offered a neighbour’s shower, but it wasn’t practical due to my partner feeling unwell.Vrbo was no help at all.Bottom line: this property is overpriced and misrepresented. If you value comfort, communication, and honesty, think twice before booking — there are far better options elsewhere.

A lovely house. Beautiful decking where you could watch the Jacobite train pass the bottom of the garden. Great location for visiting the lovely beaches between Mallaig and Arisaig or heading to the nearby Islands.

Very nice property with everything you néed. The walk into the village is just over 1km, either along a hilly route, which is quieter, or along a level route, where you walk right next to a busy road. The latter option is okay in the evenings, when traffic is less.Nice views from the house. Great Terrace to sit outside.
