Location is just great

Fantastic location, really nicely decorated, plenty of space, aircon appreciated! Good facilities and very central. Nice and quiet. Host very quick to one back and met us with keys and lots of recommendations for food.

Very beautiful big apartment downtown and quiet.

The apartment's location is hard to beat — right on Gran Vía, one of Madrid's most iconic streets, with a metro station just 2 minutes away on foot. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and there are excellent cafés and restaurants right nearby. The host was helpful and communicative, and everything was as described.

That said, a few things fell short of expectations for the price point. The apartment is clearly used primarily as a rental and would benefit from more thorough maintenance and cleaning — the sofa, floors, and kitchen in particular could use attention. There is also a bar-restaurant directly below that stays open until 1am on some nights, which can be noisy if your room is above it. Overall, you're paying a premium almost entirely for the location, which is genuinely excellent. If cleanliness and value matter to you, keep that in mind — but if you want to be in the heart of Madrid and don't mind a few trade-offs, it does the job.
