Wana Karsa The Villas Ubud

Good area, close to main busy street but it was still relatively quiet inside villa, shower tap had an amazing water pressure and surprisingly hot water, staff were really helpful, carried our bad during check in/check out. Alwayd provided bottled water when asked, the villa was beautiful too.

Lack of kitchen equipment, we only had one pan. Although they did provide us with plates and cutlery when we asked, also gave us a boiling pot but it had a moldy smell so we ended up buying our own.

Location is strategic, close to the main road with lots of nice restaurants and cafes in walking distance, but the villa itself is calm and quiet. The staff are wonderful and accommodating. I messaged the property asking about birthday decorations, the online staff replied way too late, so I didn't confirm the decoration request, but we were pleasantly surprised by the birthday decoration that awaited us on the bed. The decoration was simple but inspired, using leaf cuttings to form letters, and it's free, so I'm grateful for the staff's efforts.

The villa walls could be a bit higher, we feel oddly exposed within our own villa. Online communication could be improved.

The location of the property was great. Everyone there was professional, friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was poor in quality and quantity compared with other villas in Ubud. There were no towels for both pool and shower room. Our mattress was disgusting.

My room 101 was embarrassingly visible from the reception which looked directly into the bedroom and over the pool, I never felt like I had any privacy.

Amazing spacious villa with private pool. Great location, easy walking distance to all Ubud attractions, an oasis in the middle of the busy streets. Nice breakfast served as floating basket on request. Very nice outdoor bathroom. Comfortable stay with full privacy. Staff was amazing and very helpful responding immediately for any inquiries.

Beautiful villa - with lovely pool a stone’s through from Ubud’s (repulsively busy) main drag, but a quiet oasis of calm. Spacious, clean and well maintained villas. The staff were fantastic - so so welcoming and could not do more

Nothing - just hated Ubud. We have travelled around Bali on our holiday and Ubud was horrendous in comparison - just a slow moving constant traffic jam.

These villas are beautiful, and quite private, set around a rice paddy field. The breakfast was fine, but the fact that you could have it as a floating breakfast at your private pool made it very special. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great - walkable to the Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

The only thing that wasn't great was the kitchen, which felt dusty and unused, and not particularly clean. This did not matter for us too much, as we only used the fridge for drinks, and ate out most meals.

Awesome central location so close to everything. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The villa despite being so close to the busy streets was so quiet and relaxing. Absolutely loved staying here and will come back. Villa itself is very clean and bed comfy.

This is a perfect location and the Villa is down a very quiet accessway. When in the villa it is very peaceful then out in the street, which is extremely busy, everything you need is right there - a huge variety of restaurants, coffee shops, massages etc. The Villa is large with its own private pool (clean anr chlorinated) and outdoor bathroom and also very private. The staff are super friendly and obliging.

There are a few minor maintenance things that could do with some attention. Like loose decking timber, lights not working, old appliances, exterior cleaning. But in terms of the size, price and location, we overlooked these.

The location was very central so perfect walking distance to everywhere we went. The staff were exceptional, so helpful and friendly, could not fault them. We loved our stay here. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Their was no plates, knives or utensils in our room and we wanted to prepare meals in our room. The downstairs bathroom, and kitchen also could do with a good clean as there were marks on the walls and glass.

The villas were in an excellent location, the staff were extremely helpful and kind and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was amazing and the option of a floating breakfast was wonderful. The villa staff created a beautiful floral and towel display for our extended honeymoon which we were so pleased with. The bathtub was perfect and it was so lovely to have a calm and relaxing space. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend these villas.

It would be helpful to have a few more plugs in the room especially by the sides of the beds. The bottom bedsheet did not cover the full bed so sometimes it was the bare mattress.

Staff were super accommodating and I like how private your villa is. It’s sooo quiet and removed from the street that there was no noise. We slept amazing! The pull was nice and they bring breakfast to you each morning. Has its own beautiful rice paddy too and just very quiet and peaceful in general. Bathrooms are STUNNING! Loved it. And the big floor to ceiling windows are so nice yet you still have tons of privacy. Staff were super accommodating too. When we arrived we noticed blood stains on our sheets which is fine, it happens, and when we WhatsApped them for new ones, they changed them within 15min. It was great!

The location is terrific, especially to the north, towards the centre of Ubud or around past the Monkey Forest on Jl. Monkey Forest. There's a number of good restaurants and coffee shops in that direction. The staff were consistently lovely.

These are small matters, but hopefully my constructive criticism may help. Firstly, the Wi-Fi was quite poor. It was consistently slow and sometimes dropped out altogether. Because I needed to do some work while staying there, this was a problem. A couple of trivial things could easily be fixed: for example, there is nowhere either inside the bathroom, or outside the bathroom, to hang a towel. It would be relatively easy to fix this issue. Secondly, there is nowhere in the shower area to place soap or shampoo, except on the floor. Again, it's a minor thing but could easily be rectified. Breakfast was uninteresting and mostly cold. The coffee was pretty terrible. But there are some exceptional breakfast restaurants nearby, such as "Pison". Lastly, the villa that we had was comfortable enough, but the downstairs area was really quite wasted. It just wasn't an easy place to sit and spend time, meaning that the upstairs bedroom was really where we spent almost the time when we were in the villa. This is not true of all villas, however. The single-story villa that I saw during my stay, seemed much more usable. I'd recommend to anyone staying to ask for a single-story villa.

Perfectly located in Ubud. Within walking distance of the monkey forest, and many restaurants and shops. The property was in good condition. The villa had a nice clean plunge pool and outdoor seating area.

The lights within the villa were not very bright. There was not enough power outlets. The shower lacked any shelving for soap. The sheets were a stained from a squashed insect and there was no mattress protector under the sheets. Access to the villa is via a darkly lit street and stone paths. Lighting needs to be improved. Breakfast was adequate. It was difficult to keep mosquitos out of the rooms.

I had a lovely 5 night stay at Wana Karsa Villas. All pictures as advertised. Very peaceful considering the villa is located just off the main road and has its own little rice paddy! Amazing feature having your own private pool which is surrounded by plants and trees. The ground floor of the villa is open to the elements so expect to see some tiny lizards and frogs near the pool area, I only saw one or two. The top floor of the villa has a spacious bedroom and bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was great and I’d suggest closing the curtains during the day to keep the room even cooler. I did hear some noise from a local bar but this was only on one occasion and to be expected just off the main road; they provide ear plugs in the room but I didn’t need to use them. I really enjoyed the breakfast options and it was nicely presented. I had the local Balinese dishes including Mie Goreng (noodles, vegetables and fried egg), Nasi Goreng (rice, vegetables and fried egg) and banana pancakes. There are plenty of other options too and it also served with watermelon, papaya, fresh juice and tea or coffee. You just need to tell staff your order the night before either at reception or via WhatsApp. Tea, coffee and sugar were provided. I would advise buying milk from the supermarket if you would like to make a tea or coffee before your breakfast in the morning or in the evening, there is a small fridge provided in the kitchen. I asked staff for cutlery when I brought some food back to my room one evening which they delivered to the room. I also bought a bottle opener from the local market as a souvenir but I’m sure staff could have provided one if asked. When you leave for the day the staff at reception ask if you would like house keeping, I’m sure you could also message their WhatsApp number if there is no one at reception when you leave to arrange this. Reception staff were so welcoming and very helpful.

The villa staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The only minor area for improvement would be housekeeping, a few small oversights such as missing towels, unemptied bins, tea cups being taken without replacement.

Peaceful privacy walking distance to all the restaurants. Private Pool and beautiful gardens.

Beautiful and quiet Villa, located just off the main part. Close enough to walk to lots of restaurants on the main road, and just enough space, you don't hear the noise of the traffic. The Villa with private pool is definitely worth the price. Highly recommended. King size bed, cold aircon. Connecting rooms if you are with group or family. Small fridge and kitchenette. Basic breakfast available and delivered to your room in the morning. Just place order with reception the night before. (Fried Rice/Noodle/fresh juice/coffee/tea). The private pool is very clean and perfect temperature for swimming any time of day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Will visit Wana Karsa Villa again. Thanks so much. Terimah Kasih.

Bathroom needed tidy and maintenance however staff were able to take care of it.

I don't understand why this villa has such a low rating when it's actually a pretty decent villa in a very good location in Ubud! It is located in the south of Ubud, within walking distance of the Monkey Forest. Immediately upon leaving the villa you find yourself on the busy streets of Ubud with a bunch of restaurants, cafes, shops and coffee shops and it’s wonderful! And what’s also good is that the villa is located a little deep inside from the main road, which makes this location even better in meaning it's quiet (except the life music from the nearest restaurant in the evenings until 11 PM which doesn't bother us at all). Breakfast is simple but also inexpensive, so it's a matter of choice. We hardly used the pool because we were always busy with something, but the pool is good, clean and deep, the water is very refreshing. A toilet and bath with glass walls is fun and unusual, no problem. I recommend this villa!

It’s not like I didn’t like it, but it’s just a fact for any villas in Ubud - you live among nature and, of course, both inside your villa, and outside, around the pool there will be all sorts of flying and crawling insects that there are a lot of them everywhere in Bali and it’s normal, you get used to it and most importantly, don’t panic and don’t pay attention to them - don’t touch them and they won’t bite you (except for mosquitoes in the evenings - just use a spray and buy an insect fumigator for your room, which is plugged into the outlet at night and you will be happy). Advice to those who serve the villa: Provide your guests with a free insect fumigator that plugs into the outlet, as we had in other villas. It is very inexpensive in your stores, and guests will be pleased for such a bonus.

I booked this villa because it is newly listed, and I assumed it is a new property. The location is perfect, situated in the center of Ubud and surrounded by many restaurants and tourist attractions within walking distance. The staff and manager were very helpful, and the villa is very comfortable. I will definitely come back to this villa.

De locatie was echt perfect. Dicht bij het centrum en precies net niet in de drukte, zeker een aanrader!

Achterstallig onderhoud, op de foto’s was alles nieuw maar in werkelijkheid was het toe aan onderhoud en schoonmaak. We zaten zonder warm water, het bad zag onder de mieren en de uitwerpselen hier van, licht van het zwembad deed het niet. Wifi was uitermate slecht, terwijl wij de villa naast de receptie hadden. Ook het ontbijt was erg karig en mag je in deze prijscategorie echt meer van verwachten. Je moet dit de avond van te voren doorgeven, 3x ijskoffie besteld maar kregen 3x normale koffie, blijkt erg moeilijk.

A villa, o staff super friendly e pronto a ajudar, a localização central, tudo incrível. Vimos certos comentários negativos e ficamos com receio, mas nada a apontar realmente, as vilas são perto da recepção sim mas não dá para ver para dentro da vila, por isso há privacidade sim! Foi tudo espetacular. Iremos voltar sem dúvida!
