Samastiti Central Ubud Villa: private infinity pool, walk to the Yoga Barn

A private two-bedroom villa with its own infinity pool over a small river, hidden at the end of Jalan Hanoman in central Ubud. A 200 m garden path keeps it away from the busy streets, yet the back entrance of the Yoga Barn is five minutes' walk away, and more than 50 restaurants and cafés, spas and the Monkey Forest are all within walking distance. No scooter or driver needed.

The villa
Two bedrooms, each with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom; one bathroom is semi-outdoor, set around a fishpond. The house was built by the Balinese artist Dewa Nyoman Batuan, and his work is still displayed throughout, alongside traditional family altars. It has a full kitchen, air conditioning, mosquito nets, fast WiFi and a workspace, a washing machine, and complimentary drinking water, tea and coffee. The infinity pool looks over the river and a small rice field, and an infrared sauna is available. The villa is cleaned every day.

The area
Ubud's traffic grows every year, so being able to walk everywhere makes all the difference. Yoga studios, restaurants, cafés, spas, shops and the Monkey Forest are between five and ten minutes on foot. We can arrange drivers, airport transfers, volcano hikes, rafting and cycling tours.

Good to know
The villa sits just behind the Yoga Barn, so music from their occasional evening events can sometimes be heard, and village ceremonies bring gamelan now and then. The garden path is lit at night. Pets are not allowed and we do not have a cot at this villa. Before you arrive, we send a welcome guide with our favourite places to eat and detailed arrival directions.
