About this house rental
Whoa! It's as if Maine and Montana fell in love, and we think you will, too, when you step foot into this custom-designed post and beam barn. Newly constructed in 2023, this locally designed custom barn captures your senses. The fresh wood smell, the large stone gas fireplace, the cleverly outfitted cowboy-style bunk room…this barn has it all! The kitchen has an island for extra gathering, large dinning table, laundry room, and full bath with a walk in rustic stone shower. And that’s just the first floor! The second floor boasts another full living space with a full kitchen, cozy bedroom, full bath with walk-in shower, a hide away loft, a stone gas fireplace and a walk-out balcony. Relax in the rocking chairs, a great vantage point for spotting the abundant wildlife at Deer Cove including deer, turkeys, eagles, and the resident fox that has babies in its den every spring.
Outside you can circle up around the stone gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs and flannel blankets to take off the chill… a great spot for s’mores and stargazing in the clear Maine sky.
In the winter months strap on the snow shoes and walk the golf course just across the River. Take advantage of the snow and build a snowman. The barn is equipped with the LL bean snowman kit and toddler sled, making it easy to get outside and play. During the spring and fall take the provided bikes into town to explore. Head to our beautiful Kennebunk beaches in the summer (Beach parking passes provided)… all within a short walk from Deer Cove Barn. The barn also comes equipped with boogie boards, corn hole, spike ball, and can jam.
We hope you’ll come and experienced the warmest of “Western” welcomes we can muster up on the coast of Maine. Photos do not do this home justice! Tucked back into a quiet, private spot in Kennebunk, you arrive to an immaculately landscaped, beautifully designed retreat. You walk in to find high ceilings, cozy beds, a massive fireplace, a well equipped kitchen, and an entire surprise suite upstairs with yet another fireplace! The home was sparkling clean and the team managing the property thought of everything. Fresh local coffee and local pancake mix were provided on arrival, the kitchen is well equipped, towels and blankets are abundant, and everything just works super well. The fireplaces turn on and off quickly and easily, including the outdoor fire pit, the A/C unit is super effective, and the windows open and shut easily to let in fresh Maine air. The WiFi was fast and worked great on the patio so we could take work meetings outside. Even the tap water tastes great.Really cannot say enough great things about this property!

My husband and I (and our two dogs) had a fantastic week this summer at the Deer Cove Barn! In fact, we’re already planning a return for the fall or winter. It’s a wonderful home in a great location equipped with pretty much everything you would need.
