⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ South Snowdon Wharf ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional one bedroom first and second floor self-catering holiday accommodation in Porthmadog, Gwynedd, North Wales. Excellent location by the end of the Ffestiniog line of The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway overlooking the very picturesque Porthmadog Harbour and Harbour Station with a glimpse of Snowdon view. Branwen makes for an ideal base for exploring the area, with the Llyn Peninsula, Pwllheli, Abersoch, Beddgelert, Snowdon and Criccieth and Harlech Castles all within easy reach. Beautifully and immaculately and spotlessly presented first class accommodation with quality decor and furnishings, finished to a very high standard and with everything required provided to make for a worry free self-catering holiday. The bedroom, living/kitchen area are on the first floor and are light and bright, as is the bathroom, which is located on the second floor and is a shower suite. The first floor balcony overlooking the harbour is delightful to sit in the sun watching the boats bobbing about and gets the full afternoon sun and is perfect for watching the sunset.

The only very minor points were that the allocated parking bay space, (which is directly at the foot of the stairs to Branwen), is very tight. A small car would be able to park without concern but any larger cars would be better parked in the allocated parking for visitors on the harbour edge, just around the corner. Also, we found the morning light in the bedroom very bright as the bedroom window gets the full morning sun, and the curtains would benefit from being lined in blackout material as we were woken by sunlight flooding the bedroom before 6 each morning! The only slight issue during our stay was that the electrics partially went off in the apartment and I contacted the property owner who arranged for someone to call around within minutes. It transpired that the electrics had tripped partially and just needed resetting, but am unsure as to why it tripped initially as we had not used any of the electrics any differently earlier during our stay. 10/10 for resolving it so quickly!

Clean, homely and great location overlooking the harbour. Little homely touches were appreciated.

This is such a lovely and cosy place, we've had an amazing stay. Everything was well put together, it had everything we needed plus few extras (DVDs and board games were a really nice surprise!). We'll definitely come back!

Branwen has a great location overlooking the harbour and right next to the steam railway. It has a small kitchen with all you need for cooking, and a lovely bathroom (which is up a flight of stairs) Parking right outside too! We would definitely book again if we came back.

A couple of minor points....Bathroom is upstairs from the bedroom. Wooden draining board in the kitchen means you have to dry it after washing up.
