Good clean accommodation, in an ideal spot in need of a refurb.
Ideal situation. Very clean, good towels, kitchen well equipped.
Pillows worn out, as were the cushions in the lounge. Mattresses needed replacing some time ago, very soft and no support in them. Sofa and chairs need replacing, badly stained and covered with throws, which also need replacing. It is a shame as the house is nicely furnished otherwise and could be a top class rental.

Very comfortable reverse-level house with gorgeous views in an ideal location
The location is brilliant at the southern tip of Porthmadog right next to the harbour and the Ffestiniog train station, meaning that you're always serenaded by birdsong and steam train noises. There's a gorgeous view over the inlet from the living room window, it's fascinating (and calming) just watching the tide going in and out. The town is an easy walk away, it's all flat, the house has everything you need for a few days' stay. There's also a DVD player and a small pile of DVDs (which we added to), meaning you can have a lazy film night or two! The house was spotlessly clean and the pint of milk in the fridge was appreciated.
The two single beds in the 2nd bedroom could've been a bit bigger and comfier; "cot-like" was the description, maybe they're better suited to kids.

Lovely and convenient base for your exploration of north-west Wales.
The location is superb; the french window and balcony overlooks the estuary with distant views to Harlech and the Ffestiniog Railway. Oystercatchers and other wildlife can be seen close to the property and ospreys can be seen by the Afon Glaslyn a 10 minutes drive away. The unattractive front of the property and its porch, facing the car park and other apartments, belies the very pleasant interior and the lovely view from the rear. Just a few minutes walk away is the station for the Ffestiniog Railway to Blaenau and the Welsh Highland line to Caernarfon. This station also houses Spooner's Bar which serves up to 8 excellent local and regional real ales and also has an excellent menu available until 9pm. There is space for two cars (end to end) in the numbered bay by the front door. The property was spotlessly clean. Despite being close to the town centre, it is on a cul-de-sac surrounded by open sea and the harbour, so there is little noise to be heard from traffic or people, just the occasional whistle of a steam train :-)
The folding wooden table and chairs provided for the balcony were of poor quality (I wouldn't trust the chairs for anyone over 13 stones / 82kg); the wooden decking on the balcony also felt a bit weak in one area. But these are very small irritations in a property which is difficult to fault otherwise.

Room with a view
View was lovely. Living space upstairs cosy, clean and comfortable. Kitchen clean nicely decorated.
Bedrooms functional but not a lot of room. No grill in the oven when we tried to cook some bacon and no cooker extractor so alarm went off when we tried to cook, although think that might have been the kettle. Pressure in shower not great.
