Cardosas 42 1F 2BR Porto Centre

The apartment is absolutely lovely: -The location is excellent, right next to Rua da Flores which is pretty much the most lively area of town; -The apartment is beautiful, very pretty design and decoration and rather spacious, fairly comfortable too. -Air conditioning and most of what you need is great and useful. -The plates and all self catering amenities are great (and very pretty!). -Wifi is great, no complaints. -The guide to Porto in the dressing room is very useful and helpful. -I fell in love with that small corner by the kitchen, just so cozy and lovely for reading a book or whatever.

-Not having a washing machine really isn't ideal, makes it hard to keep towels/sheets/clothes clean. -The towel holder in the bathroom is absolutely horrible, barely holding on and falls off very often -The bathroom door handle is infernal, you can barely hold and twist it, the bathroom door also doesn't lock which can (and does) lead to some rather uncomfortable moments. -The living room sofa was rather uncomfortable (though it looked nice) and it was impossible to lie down and watch TV at the same time.

Excellent location, easy access to metro and all attractions, very clean and comfortable, and host most helpful.

Just need to repair loose floor tile in the bathroom, but this did not affect the enjoyment of staying here.

Tolle Lage und schönes Apartment

If you want to sleep then this property is not for you.

The AC units in both bedrooms make an intermittent loud buzzing sound that even if turned off continues. It disturbed us all through the night and I’m not a light sleeper. You can’t open the windows because of the street noise so it’s very hot in the height of summer without the AC on. I informed the owners post my stay directly and they are aware of it and supposedly working on it but when you go back into the historical reviews this problem has been occurring for over a year! It is a shame as they have gone to great lengths to sound proof the apartment which is quite charming and artsy. To pay over $840AUD not to sleep for two nights when clearly the problem is known is unjustified!
