Adorable apartment with a daily market in the courtyard. Very walkable to many parts of town

Appartement ruim opgezet. Locatie is top. Alles op loopafstand. Absolute aanrader.

Werkzaamheden metro. Kies voor appartement met uitzicht op de binnenplaats, dan heb je er geen last van.

The location was perfect. It was quiet at night. I felt safe as a solo traveler.

My only negative was the kitchen. The cookware and knives need to be updated. The knives were extremely dull, the non-stick pans past their prime. A toaster would have been a welcome addition.

The proximity to metro, train and bus; to the waterfront; to local restaurants.

The bed was in the living room area which was not 100% clear when booking as there were 70+ photos to view which showed a separate bedroom. The description also referred to the property having one bedroom. A bed in the living space might be ok for a 2 night stay, however, we booked a 12 night stay and it impacted negatively e.g. when one wanted to sleep earlier or rise earlier there was no other room to go to. It leant to more untidy living quarters too. The hosts response was defensive and directed us to Booking.com to resolve. In addition: - some crockery was dangerously chipped - there was no chopping board, and it wasn't replaced when we requested one - curtains were stained - the balcony was tiny - barely room for one person - there's major roadworks outside the premises and on many adjacent roads which were not mentioned - there's a market directly outside the apartment which runs a few days per week and plays loud pop music.
