Location is excellent with a beautiful view of the table mountain. It’s in Blouberg with only a 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants. Located in a safe neighbourhood and secured with security gate. Property was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Clean beds and bathrooms. Water is hot and geyser is big enough for two people to shower after one another without it getting cold.

The unit didn’t have a washing machine. The kettle needs replacing, it’s damaged but still works. I would have rated the place a 9/10 until I saw cockroaches. OMG they need to fumigate. I don’t know whether this is on the building management or owner of apartment but apartment has cockroaches in kitchen when you have lights out. That’s a no for me. On departure the host wasn’t there to check us out and check for any damage. Since they charge a breakage fee.

The unit was not 100% clean on arrival. Areas Like the balcony needed to be swept and curtains / lounge carpet need to be cleaned. Both the bathroom shower drains were blocked which had to be reported twice to the property agent in order to get the problem fixed. Also some of the kitchen equipment is quite old and needs replacement. Also the complex advertises a lift that is available. I specifically chose this complex as my wife had a knee injury and i didn’t want her to battle with stairs. On our arrival we discovered that the lift was not working and had not been working for some time. This feature should not be advertised in the advertisement for this property. Finally the front gate that allows access to the complex was also not working which means anyone from street level has direct access to the property and therefore access to any of the units in the complex.
