The cabin is surrounded by nature where you can relax to the sounds of the Pere Marquette River in the Manistee National Forest with a world of adventure at your doorstep. Plenty of space for you and your family with an electric and water RV hookup at the cabin (please reach out for more information).
For those who take the road less traveled, stay at our nostalgic retreat on the Pere Marquette River. A rare property which is accessible year-round and centrally located yet secluded. Woods & Water Cabin sits on the Pere Marquette River surrounded by nature with only a few private residences, Woods & Water Cabin lives up to its name.
Relax among the outdoor spaces, unwind on the porch, watch the many birds and wildlife, gather ‘round the fire pit, explore the river, get cozy by the fireplace, and discover this special place to truly get away. This is a prime fishing area (Brown and Rainbow Trout year-round, Salmon and Steelhead during runs) with its own kayak / canoe landing right on the river.
Woods & Water Cabin is a riverfront property in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Enjoy total privacy and seclusion while being convenient to Branch and Ruby Creek. Just 30 miles outside of Ludington. Enjoy our private yet year-round accessible cabin with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms (King Bed in Bedroom #1 and Queen Bed in Bedroom #2) + full sleeper sofa in living room and a futon in the four seasons room. The TVs have been replaced with new Fire TVs for the 2024 season.
The two bedrooms sleep 4 adults very comfortably and the Full pull-out sleeper sofa sleeps 2, as well as the futon. We pride ourselves in providing quality linens and bedding on top of our 5-star mattresses and pillows… you won’t want to leave! Let the river rock you to sleep in the Four Seasons Room. Down the road from Ruby Creek Tavern or River City Inn but is the ideal cottage to escape from the hustle and bustle of town.
With easy access year-round (even in the winter – plowed roads to and from the cabin), you can enjoy all 4 seasons! Hiking, fishing, kayaking, tubing, sightseeing, swimming, canoeing, and even snowmobiling in the winter are all the things to enjoy at Woods & Water Cabin. Enjoy total privacy, the convenience of its central location, and the river all at the same time!
Perfect for a honeymoon, family vacation, or just a peaceful escape, the cabin features a back porch and living room fireplace where you can unwind and listen to the river. Outside, there is seating with views of the river, an outdoor dining table on the porch (in season), all weatherproof outdoor furniture (in season), expansive areas to fish, outdoor propane gas grill for your cookouts (in season), and a riverfront fire pit to enjoy time together telling stories and making s’mores.
