Stunning Beach Home - Steps to the Bay,Beach, &Boardwalk w Grill & Patios

Family friendly property with plenty of space, clean and excellent location. We enjoyed the provided beach items and amenities. Location was perfect! The property was in a quiet area and just a 5 min walk to the beach or a 1 min walk to the bay. Less than 10 min walk to the closest market and places to eat.

Nothing it was perfect

This house was well equipped and in a nice location - literally a 30 second walk to the bay, and 2 minute walk to the beach. The house comes with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, wagon, beach games, a bag of sand toys, not to mention a stroller and pack n plays should you need them. The kitchen is nicely stocked and spacious; the bbq is directly hooked up to a gas line. Although there's no AC in the house, we found it really didn't matter as there are multiple fans and windows, and the area really cools down at night anyway. The neighborhood is quiet but doesn't feel isolated from the rest of Mission Beach - it's a 5 minute walk to coffee shops and a few take-out spots, and a 12 minute walk from Belmont Park. Some reviews mentioned tight parking, which I was nervous about, but our Volvo XC90 fit in the garage (trust the process!). The property management company was extremely responsive - we noticed one of the hoses was broken and it was quickly repaired/replaced. Washing machine is a Speed Queen, so that was definitely a perk!

You will hear a lot of noise from the SD airport - this area of Mission Beach is directly under a lot of flight paths, but by the second day, we really didn't notice it, even though a lot of flights were taking off early morning and at dinner time while we were sitting out on the balcony. The mattresses are very firm (I'm glad we packed our own pillows). If someone is staying in the 3rd floor unit you will hear their footsteps. Keep in mind there's only one shower and it's fairly dated, though the water pressure, towels, and toiletries were sufficient.

The location is excellent, on the bay side, perfect for families. The.property is an older style but well maintained and equipped with classic beach-house decor.

There is only one bathroom, which was fine, but another shower would make a difference.

Cozy home by the beach. Family-friendly, welcoming, and felt so homey. Perfect spot to relax and make memories. The host texted when the house was ready and checked in during our stay to make sure everything was great. Best host I’ve ever had.
