Very big , and easy to find ,

Very old fashion some of the things there , think needs a update on things in the there

Breakfast was good. The staff at the breakfast made sure each person was well satisfied. The staff was very helpful. Parking was not available but they were able to suggest free parking spots. Developing hotel as new management has taken over. But it is worth the money.

Booked because of price but then told extra £40 for 2 small dogs for 1 night made it expensive furniture dated cold breakfast was 4 sorts of cereal and juice cooked was good though

I recently stayed at The Royal Hotel in Great Yarmouth and found my experience to be quite mixed. Upon arrival, the hotel appeared run down, which didn’t give the best first impression. There was no one at the reception to check us in, and I found a piece of paper taped to the counter instructing guests to call a mobile number if no one was present. After a short wait, someone came down to assist with check-in and informed us that the hotel was under refurbishment due to new ownership. Our room was located up several flights of stairs, and it's worth noting that there are no lifts as it's an older building. The room itself was quite basic but served well as a place to sleep. It contained a double bed, wardrobe, table, dressing table, two chairs, and the usual kettle with cups and tea/coffee supplies. However, the bathroom left much to be desired. It was a small section that felt cramped, with an especially tiny sink that was positioned right underneath a mirror, making it difficult to brush teeth or use the sink comfortably. Additionally, there was a lack of hand soap provided, and the bins didn’t have bags, which was a bit inconvenient. The room was quite hot, but the windows could be opened for some fresh air. It was also equipped with a phone to contact reception, but I didn’t find the need to use it. On the positive side, clean towels were left rolled up on the bed, along with a bath mat in the bathroom, which was a nice touch. During our stay, we didn't encounter any other guests, and the rest of the hotel seemed closed off due to ongoing renovations. The check-out process was simple, with a lockbox outside the room to leave the key. Overall, I’d say that The Royal Hotel is a basic option for those looking for a place to rest their heads, but it certainly needs some improvements and a little more attention to detail to enhance the guest experience.
