Charming Vintage Beach Cottage on East Main Street – Your Perfect Coastal Getaway!
Welcome to our cozy vintage beach cottage, nestled on East Main Street just steps away from the sandy shores of Sunset Beach. Whether you prefer a leisurely walk (just 3 minutes), a brisk run (less than 2 minutes), or a relaxed stroll, you'll find yourself with your toes in the sand in no time.
Our cottage boasts an inviting open floor plan, where the kitchen seamlessly flows into the living area, making it the ideal gathering spot for your family and friends before and after your beach adventures. You can relax on the spacious sectional or gather around the farmhouse table for meals and games. With four bedrooms, including two master suites, and two additional bedrooms sharing a third bath, our home is perfect for two young families or for bringing along grandparents. Sleeping arrangements include three queen beds and a bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed. LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED, but we will be happy to supply a list of linen rentals in the area. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV for added convenience.
The cottage features delightful coastal colors and décor throughout, creating a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. All of our bathrooms have been completely renovated with modern vanities and beautiful tile work.

Venture west beyond 40th Street, and you'll find yourself on the pristine and undeveloped Bird Island Preserve, home to the beloved Kindred Spirit mailbox, cherished by generations of Sunset Beach residents and visitors.
If you're in the mood for more adventure, the mainland offers an abundance of golf courses, restaurants, grocery stores, and opportunities for kayak tours and rentals. You can even experience a thrilling Zipline Swamp Tour! Head down to Calabash for riverfront dining, additional shops, or venture further to Little River and beyond.

Would love to stay here again! Pet friendly - and proximity to shore is an easy walk. Clean home with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils and the all-important wine opener. Has hot pads to get things from oven, but plan to bring your own kitchen towels if you prefer that to paper towels. Dish soap was provided as well as hand soap and bath mats for the bathrooms. You will need hand towels and bath towels along with bed linens. If you fill all the bedrooms, the living space may get a LITTLE tight, but you're supposed to be at the beach anyway! Wi-Fi worked just fine. The couch is comfy. And the dining set seats 6-8. If you need a pack-and-play it would really only fit (easily) into the bunk room or the other front bedroom. Any minor criticisms I saw in other reviews didn't apply to us. You can tell the owner cares about suggestions. Want to go back already!

The cottage appeared clean when we arrived, but sitting down on the couch, realized it was covered in dog hair and pills of dog hair underneath the table next to the couch. The en-suite shower on the west side in the rear of the house leaked all over the floor whenever it was used. The shared bathroom for the two bedrooms for the two bedrooms without an en suite bath was so small and old very sad. The house is listed to sleep eight yet there was only seating for six at the dining room table with no bar or anywhere else to eat except outside downstairs. The whole structure is in bad condition with paint chipped peeling and dirty around the front door, part of the flashing over the front of the house missing this property really needs to be upgraded. I started my vacation vacuuming the dog hair off the couch. The management did bring over two lint rollers.
