Chancery Lane by Viridian Apartments

The apartment itself is beautiful, very spacious, and modern. It is fully furnished, well-equipped, and has a great layout distributed over two levels: the ground floor and the basement. We really appreciated how functional and stylish the living space was.

However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. There is a persistent, slight musty/moldy smell, which is stronger in the basement where the bedrooms are located. Additionally, it can get quite noisy. The windows face a narrow alleyway where the trash bins are kept, and a neighboring restaurant frequently throws away glass bottles there. The restaurant's ventilation system is also located in the same alley, which adds to the noise level.Overall, it is a great property structurally, but these details are important to consider if you are sensitive to noise or smells.

Spacious Apartment, Air Conditioned and two wonderful cleaning ladies came mid week and cleaned it well and changed linen and towels. Quiet area with many beautiful historic buildings. Easy access to buses and trains .

The many stairs in Apt 2 . I specifically requested for an apartment with only a few steps due to a bad knee and was given one with 36 steps. 16 to get to the apartment and another 16 steps inside ( split level) with a very narrow winding staircase. When we called they offered to move us to another building 20 minutes away but we were not confident in the staff to do it as they don’t seem to be well aware of the property features. We were also disappointed to learn that some apartments in the property itself don’t have so many stairs.

Nice apartment with the facilities and location to suit us for 3 nights.

Downside of location is the absence of restaurants etc over weekend as the apartment is in a business area. Apartment had not been cleaned on arrival at 4pm. Cleaners arrived after contacting booker and left about 5.30 with later delivery of towels. Compensation was mentioned but has not been forthcoming so far. No tea towels are provided so take them if you are booking. Sink plug in ensuite stuck on first use making it unusable for the rest of our stay. I did report it and said to leave the repair until we vacated as we didn't want the hassle of someone attending during our stay. Overall the accommodation is good, but the hassle about cleaning left a bad taste after a long journey down from Scotland and it disrupted our plans for the evening of arrival as we had a meal and show booked and had a rush losing 1 1/2 hours of precious time.
