Chancery Lane by Viridian Apartments

Spacious Apartment, Air Conditioned and two wonderful cleaning ladies came mid week and cleaned it well and changed linen and towels. Quiet area with many beautiful historic buildings. Easy access to buses and trains .

The many stairs in Apt 2 . I specifically requested for an apartment with only a few steps due to a bad knee and was given one with 36 steps. 16 to get to the apartment and another 16 steps inside ( split level) with a very narrow winding staircase. When we called they offered to move us to another building 20 minutes away but we were not confident in the staff to do it as they don’t seem to be well aware of the property features. We were also disappointed to learn that some apartments in the property itself don’t have so many stairs.

So much space

The apartment is in a fantastic location on Chancery Lane, just off Fleet Street. It is hugely convenient. It is a spacious duplex, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a large living space. We really appreciated the space and convenience.

There is a real problem with the unpleasant smell in the apartment. We had read this mentioned in some reviews, but assumed it couldn't be too bad. Unfortunately, it is a real problem. We don't know if it is the drains or something else, but the smell was very strong. When we got home, all of our possessions smelt so strongly that we had to wash everything, including our child's cuddly toy. This is an issue that the owners really need to address.
