Cozy Trieste Historic Hideaway

Zentrale Lage in der Altstadt von Triest. Das Apartment ist modern und freundlich ausgestattet.

Leider ist keine Möglichkeit, mit dem Auto direkt zum Apartment zu fahren. Man kann ca. 500 m entfernt in einem Parkhaus parken. Dort kosten 24 Stunden 24 €. Leider hatten wir keinen Hinweis, wie man durch die verschlossene Haustüre ins Haus kommt, nur die Anweisungen für die Schlüsselbox im 1. Stock des großen Gebäudes. Somit standen wir mit Gepäck bei über 30° längere Zeit vor der Tür bis zufällig jemand raus kam. Oben angekommen funktionierte leider der Schlüsselcode nicht und wir versuchten telefonisch und über booking den Vermieter zu erreichen, was aber auch zeitnah nicht klappte. Somit mussten wir mit unserem Gepäck wieder zurück zum Auto und abwarten. Nach ca. 2 Stunden meldete sich der Vermieter telefonisch und signalisierte, sich zu kümmern. Wir fuhren wieder zum Apartment und bekamen einen neuen Zugangscode für die Schlüsselbox, der dann zum Glück funktionierte. Leider haben diese Unannehmlichkeiten den Aufenthalt in der an sich schönen Wohnung etwas getrübt, da die Pläne für diesen Tag leider hinfällig waren.

The location in the city center is excellent. The apartment was warm, the bed was comfortable (a soft mattress and pillows), and the small desk was very useful for working on a laptop. The space is a bit limited, but it’s enough for one person. For two people, it works if you don’t spend much time in the room. Special thanks for being so responsive to my additional requests. I asked to have the duvet sheet replaced with a proper duvet cover, and I was also provided with an electric kettle, which was not originally available in the apartment.

It would be great to have a microwave, if not in the room itself, then at least in a common area. I also stayed for a week, and it would have been nice to have housekeeping every couple of days, as dust builds up quickly and I am very sensitive to it. They did respond to my request for some cleaning and took care of it, but in other places where I’ve stayed, cleaning was provided at least every two days without the need to make a separate request.

Almost everything was good, except for the fact that we booked this accommodation because it was stated that it has private parking. After booking and paying, we were informed that there is a public city garage where parking costs around 20 euros per day.
