Nice flat in Calais

Well furnished flat in a really good location. Comfortable and warm.

Internet and TV didn't work for the duration of our stay. Didn't mind about the TV but if you need to work while you're there it is difficult without internet.

Great place for a stop over in Calais.

Location was great-very near to good selection of restaurants. Short drive to ferry terminal. The beds were very comfy and the flat was clean and spacious. Toiletries were provided.

Great location... just the apartment needs attention... and a more attentive host.

The apartment was in a great location, clean, and well furnished.

The internet was utterly inadequate. It worked only in the living room, and only then if you sat on one end of the couch. It is as if they have only one router for the entire building. The shower in the bathroom did not work. We travel a lot, and every place has its challenges. We usually always leave great reviews. However, the lack of internet was a huge negative. We would not have booked it if we had known this in advance. To make matters worse, we sent a message to the hosts, and they did not respond.

The sofa beds were very uncomfortable😢. It was my misunderstanding that I thought I booked 3 rooms with 6 beds but instead we had one room with double bed and 2 sofa beds. Extremely uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep.

Good night’s sleep in a comfortable apartment, with a couple of issues

The apartment I stayed in was large, clean and comfortable. It also seemed well-equipped, although I can’t be sure about this because I arrived late one evening and left early the next morning so I didn’t have a good look around. However, I can definitely say that the mattress was comfortable and that the bedroom was quiet, so I had a good night’s sleep (although I could distinctly hear neighbours talking when I was in other rooms). I had originally booked an apartment that turned out to be double-booked, so the host let me have a larger apartment without an increase in price. As I had already had a new customer discount on the original price, I ended up getting a double discount, so I got good value for money.

Two things weren’t quite right. One, there were communication issues. Because of the last minute change in apartment, I received multiple messages from the host, through several channels. Some of these messages contradicted one another and some did not make sense. Two, there are electrical plugs high up on the walls, right next to the light switches. This is dangerous. It is too easy to put your hand in a plug by mistake while looking for a light switch, and if the plug is loose or there is something half-plugged in there… you can imagine the consequences.

Belle découverte à Calais

Tout était parfait, l'appartement était situé au dernier étage et très facile d'accès depuis la gare de Calais Ville (max 15 minutes à pieds). L'appartement est joliment décoré, très calme et bien insonorisé (pourtant il y avait quelques travaux pas loin). La literie est très confortable, nous avons très bien dormi :-)

Die Lage ist toll. In dem Bett konnte man gut schlafen. Es ist sauber und ordentlich.

Wir hatten für drei Leute gebucht. Es war ein Bett nicht vorbereitet und Handtücher für die dritte Person fehlten. Wir hatten zum Glück noch ein eigenes Handtuch. Auch fanden wir, dass es zu wenig Geschirr für einen längeren Aufenthalt gibt.
